I don't think you need to. Apparently the afterlife has a T1 internet connection.
Great... Hope you're satisfied in making everyone want to commit suicide, just for unlimited access to anime... ;)

My expendages are mostly anime/manga. But I'll tell ya, it's more cheaper than buying an army for W40k... £36 for 3 f-ing models! TT_TT

Don't get the razors out so quickly people. Heaven has a parental block and Hell only has a 56k access to faceparty.com. To gain access to this T1 connection you must have never done good thing, never done bad things, never done anything out of the blue.... oo oo ooo oo... and land yourself in the wonder mess of purgatory.

My strong love of anime is costing me dear too. I've just checked my bank statement and I've spent £315 on anime DVD's in the last month. But you can't take it with you, so what the hell!!

Holy crap.

I thought i'd spent a lot, £245 on anime and manga since last payday. (Although if i'd paid full whack it would have come to about the same as you. lol 8) )

I probably would have spent more if I hadn't needed to buy a new bloomin mobile. :x Hehe, anime seems to have taken over my wallet. lol

Hate you guys who're all like 30 and blow your paycheck on anime, it makes a sixteen year old college student who is unemployed cry. ;_;

I'm not even 25 yet but still...you make a good point. :p

The only problem with being old and in full-time work is that you don't have the time to sit in front of the TV and watch anime - a problem I've been finding lately! That and the fact that my DVD shelves are groaning under the strain have meant that I've become really selective lately. Time is so precious now I've had to raise my standards with what I watch.

And this is the reason we have "savings" to leech from. XD
But when I get a job, money's gonna start rolling back into it.

So true. At least students have time to watch what little they can afford to buy.

Yes, even though I have been buying a lot of anime in the last few months, I do find getting to watch it difficult. I watch it mainly between the hours of 11pm and 2am Monday to Thursday. It's kind of weird but now I can't watch anime in daylight. It just doesn't feel right.

I work shifts monitoring pc's and servers in a few huge data centres, and cause its pretty much a slow job I spend my nightshifts watching all my anime and weekends reading manga

Dont worry, u are just a man of distinction, Demon Fox!

A lot of veterans of anime know which series to follow, therefore don't get as much. For instance, you know which genre you like, what's coming out, and you make an expert decision^^And of course, its very antisocial to watch DVDS during the day, dont you think?

I love GITS, I have series 1 and "Innocence". Im waiting for 2 boxset.

This is so true... I want to spend a lot more on anime but it's just too costly. Though I'm buying manga every week since its 5pounds and it's so worth it. So I end up watching my anime collection over and over again but it never dwindled in my interest in anime even my coursework are piled up, I rather watch anime and manga before doing course works, it's a good motivation. :p

I've spent quite a bit on Anime in the past month. I'm obsessive over some anime and have to buy all of the dvd's but atleast i know that if it's never shown on T.V again i'll still have it here.

I got like that with Tenchi and Initial D, watched like one episode and then had to have them all so went straight online and bought every dvd I could lay my hands on. Sometime you just gotta go a little spend crazy

Yeah, I think because its mainly your favourite Anime you will invest more time and money into it. I've only seen a few episodes of Love Hina and Cowboy Bebop but i'll probably end up buying them but not in the same was as i did with tenchi.

But i suppose its things like licensing etc that means some of the DVD's wont be around to buy from companies like MVM anymore and you have to rely on imports. Atleast i know if i have it on my shelf it'll be there forever.

If your all too budgetted with anime etc, why not think about doing something to scream your fandom? Like fan-fics, drawings or RPG.
Gawd, that just sounded geeky to me... not that it's a bad thing, but it still makes my skin crawl saying that kind of stuff. ^_^'

Pencil and paper dont cost that much. But don't forget that when you have saved up enough, go get a Boxset or something... ;) That way, you'll still like anime but you don't spend fortunes on it.

There is budgeting, but there is also sensible shopping. We probably have gone through stages of buying everything we can get our hands on, but now days more selective to what i buy, and if i buy it at all. Renting anime is possible, and has increased what i watch greatly, while costing me less than a 10 squid a month for 6 rentals. this helps to watch stuff and then decide if its worth buying. Also patient and will spend about £10 per disc which is difficult but do able (especially online).

Very true - a regular job really sucks away your time, so things like anime slip down the priority list. One of the many reasons I've clung on to uni by moving on to postgrad: means I only work half the week, spending the rest doing something creative (sort of - I guess a thesis counts :p), so a little less soul-destroying.
