Such a relief with Aus releasing DBS now was worried if Toei waited any longer... Thank god they dropped this TV deal thing, just wasn't gonna happen, when a new JL animated show got the shaft big time DB had no chance.

Super wasn't much of a surprise, but the films certainly are! I have to wonder what took them so long, but the answer would probably just be "Toei." so... I'll just be happy I can finally watch them with ease again (currently I have the old steel book DVDs from the US, while no longer owning a multi-regional DVD player, meaning having to hook up my laptop to the TV if I wanted to watch them...)

Never seen Dragon Ball anything. Is that a swear these days?

Nope. I'm only just getting acquainted with the show myself. It sort of feels like the anime equivalent of a music lover saying 'I never listened to The Beatles, but I feel like I HAVE to, now.'

Technically, I've not started Dragon Ball Z yet, as I'm still chewing through the original Dragon Ball DVDs I bought last year. It's fun, but it's more a guilty pleasure for me than anything.

I'm impressed with how quickly they got Super out. I was considering buying the US release a few days ago, but I'm just gonna save my money and wait a few weeks instead.

I already own the movies on BD, but that cover is really good.

Happy to see Super being released here as well as the movies on Blu Ray, hopefully it won't be long till Fusion Reborn is released as that's the film I want to see the most.

I'll get the retellings from Manga since they're only £20 a set, but I'll probably import from Part 3 onwards. £20 is enough to convince me to buy the retellings initially I wasn't gonna bother, the bridging episodes are really good.
