Digital Devil Saga 2 *help*

lmao and then he would be back at the end of the fight like 'hey guys what i miss?'

anyways man am gonna get going to bed, will be back with the update tomorrow on how the grand finale went, laters man!

Okay well thats the end of that then. What a fantastic game with one of the most tragic yet amazing stories i have ever seen in a game, the final boss battle was epic on all accounts, the music for it was awesome as expected! This game didn't dissapoint at any moment and what a great way to end it :D

I think i may have been a tad overlevelled though because Brahman wasn't taking much off (only around 40) even without buffing my party up, my levels for my main party was 74. But yeah this game has been truly amazing and can't believe i waited this long to expereince it :D, also after playing this game i noticed that in persona 4, there is model figures of Brahman and Agni on your shelf in your room which is pretty cool.

Alas the only few questions i have now is, any idea what the message at the end of the game means? i think it was 'shan-ti shan-ti'

and i went on some fansite which was named 'nirvana' afterwards and it mentions quite a few things which i can't recall being mentioned in the game, did i just miss something? (it discussed things such as real world Heat's sister dying which influenced his over-protective nature towards Sera)

I can't remember that either now, i think there is a meaning to those words at the end of the game. But at least you beat it :p Are you going to go for the optional bosses now?

definitely this time through i am gonna take down the archangels and the 2 bosses in the sun, i got pissed off when you try to enter either of the 2 bosses rooms within the sun and they say something like 'you are not worthy' and it's like 'dude i beg to differ here' because i didn't kill the archangels before hand, hell i didn't even know about them till i read up on why it wasn't letting me enter the rooms. Have you ever went up against them?

Archangels yes, bosses in the sun nope, i think i have a save where i was leading up to that. The Archangels i didn't find that bad compared to earlier optional bosses in an SMT game, the Fiends in Lucifers Call i thought were tough.

ah i see, did you manage to master the mantra which is unlocked by defeating the archangels? i can imagien divine light would be pretty handy when learned. The fiends in LC where matador and hell biker and such right? i remember they seriously destroyed me when i was a noob to the SMT games.

Yeah it has come in handy like so far. Trust me compared to the later fiends, Matador and Hell Biker were pixies in comparsion, the riders were really annoying

lmao holy **** then, i am gonna make an attempt sometime in the future to replay through LC again and actually finish it this time, that probaly means you can expect to hear from me again though for help haha sorry if you find it annoying :p

Oh and also what would you rank as your favourite game in the SMT series from the ones you have played, in what order would you place them i mean?

It's okay i don't mind helping :) I want to replay LC again from scratch as well.

As for game order well i've only played four of them. so i guess order wise it would have to be this.

Digital Devil Saga (i'm counting both 1&2 in this)
Persona 3
Lucifer's Call

Purely because DDS's story was amazing, but that's not to say i don't like the other ones, as i do and i'm looking forward to Persona 4...when i'll be able to turn the tables on you and ask you for help :p

ah good to hear it's not bothering you, really appreciate the help and if you have troubles with P4 then i am more than willing to help :D

My order pretty much matches yours:

DDS1&2
Persona 3
Persona 4
Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs The Souless Army (talk about a mouthful)

Since i havent finished LC yet i can't rank it, but DDS knocked P3 from my fave SMT game because as you said, the story is just phenomenal, this guy needs to write the story for an upcoming SMT game in the future seriously!

There's another Devil Summoner game coming out soon i think. It will be intresting to see what you think of LC, when i got through it again i'll try to get one of the three "Reason" endings, that way i won't have to go against Lucifer again.

yeah there is, got my eye on it, comes out in may so will probaly import. Shoji Meguro is back once again providing the music and from what i have heard that has been posted on YT it's more guitar driven like DDS which is awesome! Plus if you pre-order i think you get a jack frost plushie cosplaying as Raidou himself which is pretty cool haha

Is the Lucifer ending the true ending? or would you reccomend going for one of the reason endings?

yeah Lucifer is the True Demon ending, i'm not sure if the game has a true ending or not, but that could well be it. Thing is once you complete the labyrinth you are locked into that ending so you have to fight all three "Reason Bosses" normally i think if you have a "Reason" then you only have to fight two but i haven't looked into that. As for what ending to go for...that's tough, i went for True Demon ending because that was part of my plan to get 100% complete on it, this time i may see what the netural or just plain demon endings are like. Its a nice game with so many different endings available.

If you decide to go with a reason ending just pick the one that you would go for in that situaltion.

ah i see and just incase i do decide to go for true demon ending, how hard is lucifer? as in is he a cheap bastard or just plain hard, or both. Oh and also do any of the decision choices within the game effect if you can take on the labyrinth or not?

Oh and one more thing, what would you say is the wisest stats to dump points into during level ups, mainly would it be better to use points on MA rather than STR whilst keeping a balance between AG,VI,LU?

Lucifer is the hardest boss in the game, if i recall correctly he has something like 999,999 HP or greater, he has a few lethal moves for the unprepared but he isn't impossible. Best bet for the fight is to take a Metatron demon with you, and then use Dante to full effect. A word about Dante though once you have him in your party you can't get rid of him and you can't swap him out so bare that in mind :)

I think that as long as you agree to undertake the labyrinth (and the fiend hunting) then it remains open, not matter in game decisions to make, i mean if you wanted you could get Dante on level 5 of the labyrinth and then leave and still get any of the other endings.

Normally i try to level up my character evenly, but i think it all depends on how you normally play, it takes a while to get a few decent magic attacks while you start with physical attacks. Also its well worth hunting down the final magatama, i can't remember where it is though but i don't think its part of the main quest but there's some good stuff in there.

Well anyway i'm going to call it night here, i'm up early in the morning (for a change) so we'll resume this later :) especially since i now have a real urge to play this again, must get it back off my friend. Talk to you later :thumb:
