all items up counter value, lots of cheap items is better than a few expensive ones. let items "bounce" to break into skulls before picking them up; when not powered up grab them before they break to up skull counter fast. The manual has tips on when to abuse it for lots of easy points.

This is Cave's easiest arcade game by miles; more normal if you play it on level 3 or Mega Black Label's 999.

Right, so just to clarify in power up mode, if you get the pink looking jewels from enemies you should let those hit the floor first to turn into skulls before picking them up?

When not powered up you should collect it before it hits the gournd? :?

I scored 47m and blew three lives on the final boss 'cause I couldn't work out what was killing me. Gotta look out for the pentagrams that follow your character around. I'll get the clear on this soon I'm sure.
 
49m.....still fluffed it on the final boss.

How annoying is it when the game disconnects from xbox live and takes you back to the title screen with no chance to carry on :evil:

I've also ordered Mushi Futari.
 
I need to find some time to play this but my Mushi Futari has just arrived. :D

Also, I've found out that Ketsui is working on MAME. Still can't get past stage 3... : (

As is Dai-Ou-Jo Black Label ("easy" lol) and original (one of the hardest games ever made).
Also espgaluda (actualy easy, except the last boss)
 
Hmmmm I had DOJ on PS2 and I just didn't enjoy it. Memorisation just to stay alive just isn't fun to me. Is the BL version much easier? I may give it a try tonight.

I've clocked ESPGaluda on PS2. 33m points. The final pattern of the last boss is indeed a complete turd.

Quite glad I sold my JPNPS2 now. Only game I'm missing that I care about is the original Mushihimesama.
 
DOJ Black Label is easier than DOJ, it's still DOJ though.
Changes are:
More hypers, (this does push the rank up something insane if you use them all)
lives don't reset to 0 at the start of the ura loop XD (you can make mistakes *yey*)
can continue on the last stage (you can practice Hibachi)
1-loop mode that still has TLB, so you can practice a slightly easy Hibachi

Have you seen ESPGaluda II is getting a platinum release now as well? (you already have it?) I'll deffo be picking that up as well next month.
 
The last boss in this game can **** right off. I have no idea what's hitting me most of the time. Can get to it with three lives and full bombs in tact too!!

Figured out the scoring technique a bit more though which is good.

Was holding out for the platinum, JP prices hurt, and I'm low on funds.

Back to Deathsmiles - ALL CLEAR!! (Xbox 360 version)

67,937,915 - Windia

Sussed the scoring system now and could have got more if I set myself up properly for the final stage. Tyrannosatan isn't so bad once you've survived the first few waves although it was a bit of a bomb fest. Will aim to improve my score a bit with Windia then move on to another character.

Such a great game. 8)

Got to Jitterbug without taking a hit. Then messed up.

Think I'm gonna move on to the next character now.
