Dangerous Cartoon Act prevents new Crunchy showing?

Or could be a that they don't have the licence it show this series in the UK.

Well given that UK law has no jurisdiction over a US company streaming from servers in the USA and that the new laws are for the possession of material, not distribution, it seems the logical option.

There are so many non-legal sites streaming content which would be in breach if you saved it to your computer but the IWF, the ONLY thing that could stop this, hasn't batted an eyelid.

Plus the fact not all of Europe is getting SW2.

I don't get this comment...
He's trying to shoot my argument about how I see Strike Witches being blocked by whatever means a good thing by equating it with the statement "Whilst I like [minority group], those [minority group] are [insulting language]!"

All he has succeeded in doing, however, is confuse people.

we forget Conan has no taste in anime ;) *safety wink*
If Queens Blade, Ikki Tosen and Strike Witches are your idea of taste, I want to have Negative Taste.

By virtue of the fact that we are not getting it, yes. Who isn't getting it but us?

Egad, Conan-san. Your concerns regarding our protection from titles such as this are expressed in a somewhat vocal manner.

Have you considered a career in politics, out of interest?
I did, You didn't see me jump a guy when he egged me? It was a while back but it made for awesome TV!

I think it's pretty obvious that this isn't due to the act. Could just be that Crunchyroll couldn't get the license for the UK.
As for people moaning about the 1 second cut from Code Geass...it was one second. It's not like a substantial part of the episode was cut.

Oh and, good to see you again Project - Captain Kuchiki from AC here...just, hopefully a bit more grown up xD

Except that you, the person I was responding to, got it exactly.

Which is not a surprise, since you probably knew exactly what you were saying, but just can't help trolling.

Long time no see you young whippersnapper!!

Its only Australia who are trying to cut off all the evil from the internet, and failing. You simply can't censor the internet, its physically impossible. Which is why the UK law is as it is, possession.

If it was being streamed to every CR country expect JUST us and Aus then maybe, but its not. There are lots of other countries missing from the list.

Hmmm... I'm a little concerned that episodes 15, 24 and 25 of Code Geass R2 box 2 have not yet shown up on the BBFC...

Are you suggesting that it might be about to KICK OFF, my good sir?

I may indeed. The bombardment of rotary cooling devices by fecal matter may soon commence!

We should be darned happy that CR gets us the rights to any shows at all. funimation.com/video blocking out the UK saddens me.

I tried searching, but I couldn't find any R2 episodes on the BBFC. Could it be because those episodes will have a higher certificate rating than previous episodes, and the BBFC are trying to decide? I dunno, I haven't seen the episodes.

No the search engine is retarded. I just typed "code geass" and the r2 eps came up excluding the ones mentioned.

Ignoring the twit.

Kadokawa have some wacky ass issues when it comes to UK Licensing and I think we only got Haruhi because Bandai US had the distro rights.

Everything else (Like FMP et all) is sorta SOL from what I can see.

I'm not young, I'm University age now =3

Also, crunchyroll would get more views from me if I didn't have to watch the same advert 5 times per video...adverts I can live with, but the same one?!

ladies and gentlemen......... Crunchy speak

Hello ******

I'm sorry but I would not know the specific reason why Strike Witches Season 2 is not available in the UK but, we always try to get the distribution rights for as many regions as we can. So, if we are not providing a particular series in your region, that would most likely be due to us not being able to gain the right to distribute the series in that region. Though, this particular instance may be due to the UK ban on Lolicon Anime.

For a non-speculative response, you should contact [email protected] but you are not guaranteed to get a response.

so looks like it is either down to licencing or dangerous cartoon act

SW has a sizable narative, so it's unlikely to be C&J act.
Also it's a TV anime so it can't show sex acts or genitalia anyway.
Unless it's the licensor covering their back our of paranoia. More likely just not available to us, there's far worse stuff than SW that they are still streaming us (e.g School Days)

Lets not blow this out of proportion, The "dangerous Cartoon Act is only for the more explicit and graphic examples of cartoon child porn. Strike Witches, though being iichi, wouldn't fit in that catagory. BBFC would most likely give it a 15. Panic brigade! Stand down!

And lets not forget the country that CR is based in recently sentenced a chap to 6 months in prison for possession of 'lolicon'.
That was manga from Comics LO, it is therefore definatly lolicon manga. Drop the inverted commas, also that was for posting it not for posesion.
