Also "Contact Support" Still no response. Being back on Flash is actually insulting
It is it’s basically a cookie saying you are on the beta I assume but yeah it’s still on mine but broke.Going through the method again seems to work. It's a simple copy-and-paste job so I'm not too bothered by it.
Anything else us unfavoured peasants and the unwashed who have still not cancelled their premium need to know? How does it compare to the old player, you know, when it worked?
I have the HTML5 Player given to me (so I'm probably one of the 25% of the users who got it this week). It works at least.
Thanks to Geoff on Discord, you can in fact turn off the subtitles for any screencap stuff:
- You can jump straight to a specific point and back without too much hassle.
ye I did it too. HMS CR is a sinking ship when a paying member has to fix their problemsI’ve had to re add it 4 times now..:
I already posted that a couple hours ago (and literally a few posts above in this thread).CR also posted an update yesteday
http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-1024184/updates-on-the-new-crunchyroll-video-player
It says they will add stuff like keeping it full screen when next ep loads and add soft subs
And they are at 50% rollout
Hello everyone!!
A few months ago, we started testing out our new video player to a small sample of the Crunchyroll family and received positive feedback. Over the last month, we’ve made various fixes and improvements, as we increased the percentage of users who were given the new player. We’re pleased to share with you that as of today, we’ve hit 100% — the new player is now available for everyone!!
In the two weeks since we began serving the player to 50% of users, we’ve addressed the following issues:
1. Volume settings are now preserved between episodes.
2. Subtitle rendering when casting / mirroring via Chromecast has been fixed.
3. Cursor now disappears when in fullscreen mode.
4. Improvements on progress bar for better rewind and forward operation.
5. Accurate time index when scrubbing the progress bar.
6. Keyboard shortcuts support added (i.e. “f” for fullscreen, “m” for mute).
7. Support for video playback when returning to a previous page using the back button on the browser.
Thank you to everyone who reached out to us about these and other concerns - your feedback has been incredibly helpful to us, and we’re not done making improvements yet! We are currently working on the following issues and will be releasing fixes shortly:
1. Font style correction: some subtitles are losing styling or being changed to Arial.
2. Subtitle selector: this will provide an ability to choose subtitle language within the video player, or turn them off entirely if desired.
3. Typesetting: issues such as subtitles stacked on top of one another or spaced incorrectly in some videos are being addressed.
4. Support for iOS mobile web.
