crappiest anime sereis ever?

I like both of those ¬_¬ Chobits I can somehow enjoy as a parody of the kind of show I really hate. Even though it's really pretty much the same thing. The fan service was the best part!

I personally didn't like Gungrave (which I know has a huge amount of vocal fans, so it can't be too crappy on average) and Gall Force (I honestly don't know why I hated this all those years ago, but I definitely did).

My vote goes to Street Fighter Alpha 2: Generation, bought it for £5 and i'm thinking that was too much to pay for it, one of the worse things i've ever watched, turns out though it was made solely for the english speaking market and never had a japanese release.

eiken. you have not seen a ****** anime until youve watched eiken. i couldnt even force myself to watch the third episode.

i also hate divergence eve with a passion.

Hundred Stories felt like a Hundred crap stories to me, and not good ones at that. ONLY anime series I've been unable to complete. Episode 13 was as far as I went, so at least I made a good effort.

Hundred Stories (also known as Requiem of Darkness)

Requim: into the darkness.

Sorry Rui (i know you enjoyed it) but to me it was boring, the artist thought it'd be 'darker and menacing' by going extra on the black ink.
the stories are pretty strange... have incest, child killings and general paranoia.

In all, it was the worst £3 i've spent.

I've sat through all 26 episodes of the Excel saga dub and found it good (someone once told me apparently it was voted one of the worst dubs). I've watched Divergence eve and found it enjoyable. I am glad I brought the complete boxset of Ikkitousen. I can listen to the English dub of Naruto without causing GBH. I can watch a lot of what can be considered crap and like it

The only series I have ever had to stop was Robotech the Macross saga. With no nostalgia (I brought it to see one of the first big series for the West) I made it through 8 episodes before the painfully 80s all out American dub/script made me turn it away. I have all 30 odd episodes :(

Transformers: Headmasters and the following series are awful when I compare them to the fantastic 80's american series. Also hate Excel Saga with a passion, and also the last 6 episodes of Evangelion were appalling...

I didn't actually mind the japanese transformer shows (barring Transformers Zone that did suck) and found MasterForce and Victory to be quite fun, of course the "official" dub for the shows could win the award for worst dub ever. If i was asked earlier last year about the final eps of Evangelion i would probably have agreed but after rewatching the series they have grown on me.

Girls Bravo.

My hatred for that is unending and unstoppable. BROOKLYN RAGE!

That's like, the worst reason ever. I've heard far better criticisms. Even if I disagree with some criticisms aimed at it, I can at least respect them and see them as valid.

But I'm going to go out on a limb and say you're either trolling, or flame-baiting, neither of which I'll succumb to.

As much as I HATE Death Note it's far from the worst anime ever.

Also, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, but mostly because of the faggy hype, Kamina lasted 7.5 episodes and everyone BAWWWWWWs over him. Viral is still awesome though.

Even though its not out yet ive seen the first 2 episodes from a DVD Neo magazine were giving away for free.
its Stupid and boring.

I have bought some turkeys in my time like, Divergence Eve, Zaion Wish You Were Here, Power Dolls and Samurai Gun. Although I don’t think anything will stop me watching them again. For me some of the overly hyped stuff with a big fan following like Gundam, Dragonball and One Piece is more of a turn off.

I know what you mean, but it doesn't really mean the shows bad. That's what you get from browsing /a/ too much ;)

Yep, that's exactly what DeathNote_Holder is doing.
Regardless, saying that Chobits is the worst anime ever because of fanservice is kinda weak. Even if you don't like fanservice there are much worse offenders - people have already mentioned Divergence Eve and Eiken, and you could add stuff like Koharu Biyori and Ultimate Girls to the list.

For me personally, it's series like Bobobobo etc. and Dokuro-chan that I really can't stand. Not only do I not find them funny, watching them just annoys me.

It's a more subjective reason for disliking that particular show; such content may be unpalatable to DeathNote_Holder's viewing tastes. While I found Chobits fairly enjoyable I can understand that it is, in some ways, divisive, and that some people may -- for reasons that may be hard to justify logically to others who enjoy the show -- dislike it. If it boils down to taste and preference alone then proposing that there's too much fan-service can be considered a valid argument. It's a divisive issue for many; we must accept it as valid for the person who proposed the statement, though it may be difficult for those of us who felt otherwise to do so.

Chobits didn't have that much fan service, really. I agree with Maxon~ that is a pretty weak reason for not liking it. If you think Chobits was full of fan service, you should really sit through Kanokon, or Rosario + Vampire.

Again, if fan-service is something that DeathNote_Holder dislikes I feel it could be plausible that Chobits would be very difficult to sit through. It's a reason that I, personally, don't think should be termed "weak", given that it could serve as a large deterrent. Fan-service (or some semblance of it; I can't remember the show that well) was quite prevalent in the opening stages of Chobits and permeates the anime, somewhat. I feel one who dislikes fan-service quite strongly could accept that Chobits features many strengths, but their personal dislike of fan-service makes the anime intolerable.

While I am endeavouring to play the devil's advocate in this scenario, I do feel that it would have been ideal for DeathNote_Holder to qualify his or her beliefs. The title, too, "crappiest anime sereis ever?" is, as before suggested, likely to inspire -- um -- vociferous arguments. I do feel that it is unfair to suggest that Chobits or Evangelion are the "crappiest" series ever; when trying to suggest that, it is necessary to construct an elaborate argument because you're trying to argue and support a case by looking at most aspects of the anime. (It's worth noting, I feel, that it could prove somewhat difficult to argue that either series is the worst ever, when the necessity to contrast with other shows -- like Duel Masters, in my opinion -- arises.)
If you think Chobits was full of fan service, you should really sit through Kanokon, or Rosario + Vampire.
Yes -- when trying to argue a sweeping argument as seen in the topic title, it is necessary to contrast with other shows, as underlined here.

If, however, one might wish to argue that Chobits is an anime they dislike -- and is, incidentally, the worst they feel they have seen -- then it's a more personal matter and may all be down to personal taste. They might like another series -- like Duel Masters, which, by consensus, isn't that well adored -- for reasons that stand out more to them, personally.

A more ideal title could be: What anime, for you, fails to unearth any enthusiasm? Or something like that -- I'm not so good with titles...

I don't feel I can suggest what is the "crappiest" anime series ever. I haven't seen many, so I couldn't offer an informed analysis.
