Chronos - feed the newbie!

Ive only seen 4 Ghibli films: Howl's Moving Caste, Spirited Away, Laputra Castle in the Sky and Princess Monoke.

Never really seen any of the others but out of them yeah i agree Monoke is to preachy for me although its still a good film!
I loved Laputra and Howls though really good! liked almost everything about them!

Any recommendations for any of the others?
 
nausica is another of my favourite ghibli with mononoke. Whisper of the heart is great, but slow paced compared to those you mentioned. Grave of the fireflies is great and really sad...

Thats on my to watch list! its supposed to be a war based type film right?

post-war to be more precise - and the famine and chaos that entailed.
