Cardcaptor Sakura - uncut dub

I'm hoping Funi will buy the licence and production rights to CCS. They've been making some good moves over the last few months, and obtaining CCS would make them one of my best friends.

God, I'm so damn annoyed that I'm going to have these names stuck in my head when I eventually get round to watching this uncut! They won't be stuck for long though, I'm sure.
 
I have to what some of the dub to have an opinion, so far I've only watched it sub. Just checked my copy of cardcaptor Sakura and it's sub only, so I guess I won't be able to see it dubbed... =)

Tomyo's voice is so much better than the Dub, i doubt any english VA could true capture her

not to mentions Sakura's "Cuurrriieeeee" cry :D

I hate to be one of those, 'OMG DUB SUXXX' type people, but it was genuinely dreadful. And the way they pronounced Sakura, 'Suh-koo-rah'. Argh, nerd rage. They edited quite a bit out of it, too. Like Syaoran's crush on Yukito, Touya's and Yukito's relationship, Meiling and Syaoran were originally cousins, and Rika and her teacher's relationship (although, there wasn't much of it in the anime, except a crush, whereas in the manga they were engaged). They cut out the majority of the first few episodes, too, just so it would seem less 'Card Captor Sakura' orientated, and more 'Cardcaptors'. In fact, the first episode of the dub was where Syaoran arrived. They made it much more 'boy friendly'. From what I recall, the omitted a lot of niggling bits, too. Like Sakura and Syaoran at the end. His confession was completely cut out! Can't really recall, but what happened with Tomoyo and Sakura, dub-wise?

as for tomyo/sakura, they edited it out any kind of "releationship" that could of blossomed between the 2, lets face it, Tomoyo hardly had a "lets just be friends" attitude around Sakura, which is kinda proven in the episode when everyone's feelings are reversed, and the one who seems to care the least about her is Tomoyo

i think i'm the only person in the world who liked the dub... well, i didnt like the dub/changes BUT i did like the VA's

altho the animax dub is uncut the voice acting is BAD
 
Yep, I've noticed that tokyo revelations were done by a different company, I've never heard that the stories from manga and anime were different... I haven't read enough of the manga possibly, but until the bit I've did, the anime and the manga were exactly the same.
 
I don't think they're that different, just the anime has a lot of filler and cuts out some of the crossovers. But I too have yet to read much of the manga.
 
i wudnt even attempt to get into tsubasa becus i wud end up have to collect all the series it crossover with then all the mangas and by the end of it i wud just be bankrupt... i'm totally ocd when it comes to having a "collection" so i to be carefull with what i watch lol

tenchi has ****** me over already lol and currently its batman tas haha

so im just gonna stick to css AND NOTHING ELSE CONNECTED TO IT... except maybe the manga lol
