Thats way this is an expensive hobby (unless you chose to watch fansubs to chose the series you wish to buy rather than randomly test dvd's although this is a naughty way of doing it), but its worth every penny I wouldn't trade my collection in

Unless it was for a new Superbike but thats never gonna happen

My advice, pick some genres or themes. Eg mine is Angels, fantasy and/or Studio Gonzo/Miyazaki. Otherwise you'll end up broke! To start with, try out Miyazaki's "Nausicaa" or "Bubblegum Crisis."
