Bleach after the Rescue arc

Right i'll be honest, I watched the fillers in Japanese once when they were fansubbed. I would not pay to watch them again.

At most i'd search out the interesting episodes and pay for downloads so as to skip crap cake-baking and soccer-playing filler.

My issue with buying anything beyond season 3 is something i've touched on earlier. The story becomes really dragged out, and it would take a lot of purchases (even in the way Manga sell them) before you get any real sense of the plot having advanced much.

This thread certainly isn't a waste of time, it's quite a lively debate. You certainly won't get banned for asking the question! :)

If the look of the next arc interests you it's probably well worth going on a little longer. My other half quite liked it, so it's down to personal taste. And it has a cute ending theme song at one point.

The change of pace in Bleach after season 3 is just so noticeable that it's not surprising a few of us fell off the Bleach train at that point. The Soul Society arc seemed to have a lot of characters who were unfortunately a lot more interesting than the actual stars, which changed the balance of things. They literally stole the show for me.

I don't want to imagine it slowing down to a pace any slower then it's already going. When I ordered the second boxset I was like 'enter the soul society, save rukia and be back in time for tea' ...but they still havn't saved her yet. And doesn't look like the will until the end of the NEXT series. After the second series was over I drew a small little map in my mind of the soul society and worked out how far ichigo & co. had gotten in 21 episodes ...it wasn't very far, I can tell you that. They spend practically an entire episode being shot from the cannon.
I do enjoy it though, contary to my whining.
It's all worth it for those moments where Ichigo starts kicking ass + taking names and that music comes in.

A debate involves a conflict of views. A general agreement that Bleach isn't very good after the SS arc doesn't qualify.

If you intend to see for yourself anyway, why ask for he opinions of others? That wasn't the most bright way of doing things. I believe you should see for yourself - that's the best way - but you've wasted others time by asking for opinions you didn't truly care for.
I do that myself ll the time. Certain opinions like yours or Sy, I take with a pinch of salt, as I know you guys have really high quality standards. Usually things Sy rated 5 or 6, I actually enjoyed (and even relieved him of the DVD's). Something similar happens with you.

Also, don't let Aion get to you, he's just angsty and needs to take out his anger on someone that Bleach DVDs are still going for £20 on Amazon and should at least drop £5.67 in exact price before he will pay.
Actually all his aggressiveness must come from this fact... =)

As for your upcoming ban, I have a spiritual connection with Chaos that goes above and beyond the relations of most internet users. If I so wished, I could get him to give you a lifetime IP ban, as well as offering to give you free movie tickets in person.
About my spiritual connection with Aion there is a specific name to it. Bad Karma! =P
I have a spare ticket for Blur at Hyde Park, wanna come with me Aion? I'll be gentle.

You haven't wasted anyones time, you just fell for Aion's ********, he's the bane of all new members, as I am the bane of all old members.
Just carry on. Chaos won't do anything.
To Yuvie at least

As Rui said, you won't get banned for that. Banning for posting a question anime related on an anime forum, if I ever did that, people would call me unresoanable. Wait a sec... people already call me unreasonable =P

Bleach stars (Ichigo, Chad, Uryo, Rukia and Orihime) became boring as the series progressed. Most of the captains in the SS arc and many of the lieutenants were so much more interesting.

The bount arc was enjoyable enough for a filler, the other fillers though, are pretty bad :(
I'm enjoying the Arrancar arc, but I must admit that the quality of the show is dropping.

As you can see, I'm pretty far behind when it comes to Bleach. I'm a collector so I generally wait for the boxsets and for some reason, I can't bear watching anime over the net.

For me, being a fan of the first 2 seasons, I'm a bit in denial that it could get so bad. It's a shame that a show with such potential can go down the crapper like people are describing.

I guess, for me, it'll be at the very least a 'fun' series to watch in small doses. Atm, it's pretty much 2 seasons a year anyway.

Whoa that's commitment

Nah, I just don't like sitting in front of the computer watching anything, entertainment wise. I'm a big fan of boxing and the same goes for that. Call me old fashioned but I'd rather watch it on tv than watch some shoddy internet video in front of the computer.

>> Download AVI / DivX Fansubs
>> Burn to DVD
>> Put in DVD player

That is one option BUT I'm a sucker for a nice boxset pack. The Bleach region 1 special edition boxsets are pretty nice sets.

Yeah, I'm the same way. To me something doesn't have value if you can't hold it.
I mean, other then you like, uh, peace of mind, and that kind of thing you can't hold.
