Yes there is, But from all i know it isn't licensed in English.

Yes, the manga's not licensed, but the scanlation is out there (I don't believe I can provide the address because of the rules :( ).

To date, I believe, 53 chapters have been published by Sunday GX (monthly release). The anime ran up to chapter 43 (a little over half way through Volume 6). Only one new story has been started that was not part of the anime...

"el baile de la muerte" which I believe means "the dance of the dead" (google translation). Within this we see the return of Roberta. The fifty third chapter is the tenth part of this ongoing story

The anime follows the manga very closely, but the order is different. As only six volumes have been released, with the usual quarterly release schedule of licensed manga a US/UK publisher would catch up with the monthly magazine releases in two years (they'd run out of material). This is the only reason I can think for not seeing an English tranlsation of the Black Lagoon manga. I think it would sell well in the states. However, there is the French translation :roll: .

Does anyone know how long the typical delay is between Region 1 & Region 2 (UK) release? Anyone heard any news about a Region 2 release of Black Lagoon?

From what i know, there isn't a R2 release been scheduled for here as yet, though i think there will be at some point. I don't know the delay between R1 and R2 either, but i think it varies.

I liked the earlier idea of ordering the first Volume (even if its only to get the box), so last week I ordered the Region 1 import. 8)

I'm really quite interested in what Revy sounds like in the English dub. I noticed on one site that in April the 'Second Barrage' (Episodes 13-24) has been licensed too, so it looks like the full run will be available.

I guess I'll enjoy Volume 1 and try and wait it out for a bit. Unfortunately I have very little will power...
 
The Black Lagoon dub is one of the best in recent years. The voices actually fit for the characters they were designed for, but i will be interested to see how they handle the english/japanese translation in the second barrage.

I agree, it is good and the voices do fit well with the characters. The english/japanese bit will be something to look forward to definitely, since it worked well in the sub, here's they find a way to get it to work in the dub.

Your really brave going for that tattoo. My tastes in Bad Girls usually changes every year or two...

If you can find the manga, Page 65 of Volume 2 and Page 78 of Volume 3 have pictures of Revy withher shirt off :wink: and with her shoulder exposed, respectively. Although the views are distorted, and I suspect the Mangaka was not consistant with the design.

What i've found is that over the show/manga whatever the designs were never 100% the same, i guess that would have consumed too much time to do it. but there is a general theme so it leaves it open to interpretation for me to add my own style to it.
 
I’ve just seen that the Second Barrage is due for release in the US in November. Great news!

But still no sign of a UK release as yet. Does anyone know who’s most likely to release it here with it being a Geneon title in the States?

I cant wait, i am thinking of just getting the Second Barrage; as i liked that wholly much much more than the First Barrage, its also has a ArtBox release, i wonder if that means doing a similar thing to what the First Barrage has got-i hope so-
 
yeah i saw that its due a november release too, which is great, the series is being released relatively quickly i think. If it where to be released here, i have no idea who would release it here..Revelations or MVM maybe, but i doubt it, since i'm never good at guessing these things.

Revelations is Geneon's UK distributor so it would be them. Glad to see it's getting fully released, it deserves it. But i think i'll be waiting until the R2 release, i've got the R1 limited edition to tie me over.

Hey folks, posting from Turkey again. While on vacation I took the time to watch both seasons of Black Lagoon and I must admit the series is pretty damn awesome. I enjoyed it so much in fact that I've begun writin a short fan-fiction based on the franchise. I have a question which I doubt anyone can answer but I'm so curious...

During the vampire twins arc, when the last twin is being transported via the Black Lagoon the twin lifts his/her skirt which causes Rock to be freaked out. Anyone got any ideas on what the hell Rock saw which was so crazy?

I would think that it was because she lifted her skirt to rock that freaked him out, that or if you remember from earlier that the twins 'switch' between being the sister or brother, so it could be that he saw the brother instead.
