BEEZ Licenses: Lucky Star

BEEZ have announced according to http://www.animeonuk.tv/?p=61 they have license Lucky Star Anime. It will contain the OVA and be released in two Half Box sets.

Already got this on R1 but I'm honestly surprised to see LS get a UK release at all, considering it's heavy on otaku in-jokes (and really obscure ones which makes me wish Bandai did what ADV used to do and have Vid-Notes to explain the more obscure jokes in the show) it would surprise me if this did well over here at all especially since it did not do well in the US

I thought that was due to the over-priced and stupidly lavish sets they were released in, not because of the type of show it is. Lucky Star ain't no Haruhi.

The region 1 release had an insert with notes on some of the in-jokes (like the ring tones & posters).
