If that's true we can rule out Funimation. Given that Durarara seems like one of the more marketable titles of the last couple of years, I've no idea why anyone would want to release it sub-only.

Some people (like moi) like to have hard copies and find watching stuff online as ok for watching a series once, but for rewatches watching it on a proper tv is better. If I intend to watch a series over and over I'd rather buy it.

If the price is right [and I bet it will, considering it's dub-only and doesn't need to be rated twice by the BBFC], then I'll definitely purchase it.

Durarara is the only title I actively follow on Crunchyroll. I’m definitely buying it (partly to support releases of great anime and partly because I love it) and the soundtrack (probably import only).

I'll get this release out of support and hope for a dub-release. I don't really listen to dubs myself, but I'm always willing to pay for one because it makes it feel more... complete. It also means I can show it off, because, heck, Durarara!! needs to be shown to the world.

There were also a couple of good DRRR!! cosplayers I think I saw. I definitely saw some Shizuo.

Just got back from the expo, saw they had a poster up of durarara in their booth but it didn't register with me at the time

In low quality w/ ads.
A DVD gives you DVD quality and no ads, you have to pay CR for that.
Also stored copy>>stream you get no network etc. related problems and it's the DVD version not the TV, e.g. there are bonus eps for DRRR.
