Dark Gathering looked so cutesy. But if it's actually a horror show I might have to check it out.

I looked at Dark Gathering in HMV yesterday. It has an 18 on it.

They must have been hedging their bets on it receiving a higher rating, anyway it's not illegal to sell a bluray with a higher than stated rating. The issue is when the opposite happens like with Highschool DxD.

I get what you mean.
I only bought High School DxD because it had U on the box.
I was very shocked and upset when I watched it.

LOL though I think the issue there was it said 15 instead of 18 or 12 instead of 15, it wasn't as dramatic as a U on the box, but given the show does feature some sexual assault/attempted SA scenes I can see it causing some legitimate upset, like I get what you mean more if the complaint was just about sexual content per se, that it was pretty obvious it was gonna have that kinda stuff, but I found the show a bit icky tbh (plus again with the emphasis on female virginity which is always gross and just makes a series seem vaguely Andrew-Tate/manosphere-y).

EDIT: Just to be clear, these aren't fightin' words, I don't have anything per se against people who enjoyed the show and tbf I liked some things about it, I'm just saying that sometimes these things are more complicated than just "do you object to cartoon boobs and butts or not?"
