I'm always surprised by the level of the celebrity they somehow get to go to this thing. I've never been but I must at some point. They have Starbuck, Kirk, Crichton and The Smoking Man all at one event!!

Really enjoyable! I was hoping to meet William Shatner, but settled for Ben Browder and Russell Tovey (who was an absolute sweetheart) instead :p I've never been before, but the whole con had a lovely atmosphere.

I thought it was pretty damn good. Mainly because I like other things like video games, movies, sci-fi and comics in general. It was more an allround event.

It was great to meet voice actor Wendee Lee. She was really nice, did a great Q&A and also gave some great advice to getting into voice work within animation (I'm thinking of going down that path myself so it was really useful)

There were a few dealers there some of which were a bit dodgy. Seeing an Itachi Uchiha bag with Sasuke's picture on it doesn't fill you with confidence but there were some legit guys there too.

I spoke with someone from United Publications and he mentioned that two main UK anime distributors (he didn't say which ones) were in danger of shutting down completely if things don't pick up in the next 6 months/year. I don't know how true that is but I thought it was worth mentioning.

For the gamers there was something. The main note being that Nintendo was there and they had two games that haven't been released ready to play:
- Metroid: Other M
- Dragon Quest IX

I also met FilmBrain from thatguywiththeglasses.com in a random turn of events.

All in all it was a great day and a great first event to go to but if you're only into the anime/manga there isn't too much there compared to other events.
