What’s the likelihood of someone interested enough in spending £225 on Naruto not already having purchased at least half of the volumes already? Some dvd set hold-outs?
It would be interesting to know how many of these get sold.

To add to the figures and calculations:
£70 off is about 22%
£250 divided by 8 is £31.25 each
 
The Naruto flash sales annoys me as I did get the first 4 volumes during Christmas. Was really hoping they may have included the remaining in the b1g1f sale.... perhaps this coming christmas..

Honestly tho this sale nothing of interest aside from Naruto has jumped out at me.

Perhaps its just meant to be.. idk.

I'm curious about this, since all of Macross Delta has been translated in English for their Blu-ray releases, is the translation work involving the other aspects like the artwork and on-disc specials, or are you (or whoever does the subtitle work) having to go through the whole franchise because either Big West said no to using the subtitles on the Blu-ray discs or did they need any revision in case of typos?

I know Disney+ has subtitles but given D+'s track record of using Closed Captions/Dubtitles for their anime selection I have no clue if their subs for Macross are done properly or not.

You could always get a used Delta set from japan and the 2 Delta movies along with the 2 Frontier movies, wouldn't help you with the Frontier series though as it doesn't have subtitles. I used my Frontier set as a basis for making a release using fan subtitles.
 
Does anybody know anything about Initial D physical media. All I can find is a vol 1-3 dvd on CEX that is out of stock, there seems to be some bootlegs sold from Malaysia, was there ever an official release in the UK?

The first three discs of the Tokyopop DVD version of the Initial D TV series (Madman disc masters) was released as a combo pack in the UK by VDI Entertainment in 2008. They solicited a second combo pack, but it never made it to UK retail.

Funimation released 1st-4th Stages plus Extra Stage on dvd as well, plus they redubbed it from the abysmal Tokyopop version.
They were available on Crunchyroll as well though they now appear to be delisted. Unfortunately 5th stage and final stage were never licensed for streaming or home video in English.

I was a bit tepid on Macross Zero the first time I watched it, but I've enjoyed it more each time I revisit it. It helps that the BD is a massive visual upgrade over the blurry Disney+ stream; it's a rare case of AI upscaling executed well (certainly far better than the upscale on the recent JP Do You Remember Love release). Also, the book included with AL's release is very good; lots of interesting interviews.

I got some orders from BOGOF on the first day friday 3rd that shipped last thursday and arrived last monday
my other orders were all later 6th (although has some items that went sold out and back in stock again, so maybe awaiting re-prints) & 10th.

So not amazingly speedy but not too bad either, but im sure they get a fair few order of BOGOF's, and there was bank holidays in there somewhere as well (so only really a week to deliver), so my guess is could be close for a 2 week time frame, honestly don't know what there back log of parcels is.

That seems a really.... really weird choice
