UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

That's odd as AoL definitely remove VAT, you need to be signed into an account with a non UK shipping address for it to show on the website.

Well, AOL does take something off the price when I'm logged in - when logged out the price shows £55.99, logged in its £53.66 - but that's only a 4% difference. @MVM what would that be? Is it an adjustment for US tariffs, perhaps?

Can somebody help me, I've just subscribed to the yearly (Un)Limited sub for 17.99, but I would like the subscription to only last for one year, and I don't see any manage subscription page? Is it a one time purchase, or is there an automatic reneweal?

It automatically renews. If you want it to last a year, you will need to cancel it before it renews.

They don't make it easy to cancel the subscriptions, or even give notice of it automatically renewing (i.e. sending an email 21 days before it will renew for the next year to give the option to cancelling it or even as a means to remind people they are paying however much it is a year for a service they might not use as often.

I wonder if Anime Limited are complying with the requirements of Section 258 of the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act (Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024)

Forgot MCM is next week. Last time it was primarily Sentai titles and a couple of newer films (half of which didn't make the 2025 window I recall).

Main license request at this point is more Gundam, because it's been long overdue and I don't want 4K re-releases (like I want those ofc but they need new ones to put out first - like for Amuro sake 0080: War in the Pocket should be the easiest title to release given it has a dub and is only 6 episodes).

For more out of nowhere requests, would like to see more Studio 4°C titles brought over here.

More pre-Anime Limited era licenses would be nice as well, especially ones that have yet to be released by Discotek.

Wouldn't say the Studio4°C request is out of nowhere, especially considering Gkids just announced they have 'All You Need Is Kill' and they seem to partner with AL quite a bit.

(My feelings on the choice of art style for that particular story are another matter though....)
