UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

Okay, this is actually pretty funny. Missed opportunity to do something truly ridiculous with the collector's edition though - then again, I guess making a collector's edition for Ex-Arm is ridiculous in itself šŸ™ƒ

This IS an April Fool's joke right?
AL releases have had quality control issues for a while, but this time the show is the quality control issue.

Stranger things have happened. Discotek released Chargeman Ken. Criterion released Salo. There's a market for morbid curiosity about utter ****, I guess. But, assuming this is real, AL releasing Ex-Arm while letting their licence for Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu lapse is going to take me a long time to forgive.

The real question is if it is as bad as it seems, is it gonna be in this years christmas mystery bundle or the year after?

if its in this years easters mystery bundle then AL know it and have just given up on it.

Watched a trailer for Ex Arms yesterday as I've never heard of it, & I've never regretted something more. I actually wish I was blind so I wouldn't be able to see that sh***.

Anime Limited may have gotten this title as part of a bundle (probably included with Re Zero S2 or Demon School! Iruma-kun), but surely they don't actually have to release it.

Sorry not sorry, but WTF WHYYYY?! šŸ˜ Out of all the titles they could have licensed and given a Collector's Edition they go with f*cking EX-ARM? šŸ™ˆ Who the heck will buy this piece of garbage? EX-ARM gets licensed but The Rose of Versailles or Oniisama e/Dear Brother doesn't. I have to laugh, otherwise I will cry.
The licenses for Dear Brother and The Rose of Versailles are almost certainly expensive compared to EX-ARM. I guarantee you AL licensing the latter has no affect over them picking up the former.

I can confirm Anime Ltd. never released The Ancient Magus' Bride. That would have been Manga Entertainment for the two parts (1, 2) releases and Crunchyroll for the complete series collection. The OVAs are included in the Part One set and also the complete series collection.
I think @Gigabomb could be referring to the French release, which was released by All the Anime over there. If that's the case, then I had a look on the images of their release and the OVAs appear to be on Disc 1.

My bad, I saw the title on All the Anime and assumed it was an Anime Ltd release.

The reason I asked is because I looked on amazon, all the anime, as well as other retailers and none have confirmation whether the OVA's are present on the complete blu-ray set. Amazon confirms that Manga's Part 1 release does contain them though.

Trying to find a reverse cover shot to confirm anything is proving difficult. I might just buy the separate parts because at least I know for sure Part 1 has the OVA's

[EDIT] Never mind I just checked ebay and someone is selling a copy with pics of the reverse confirming the complete blu-ray set does contain the OVA's. Lol, should have checked ebay sooner. šŸ˜„
