UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

Yes. As long as you have purchased the Collector's Edition of set 1. You would have received an email from AL containing the "BLEACHHASMYSOUL" code prior to set 2 being available to pre-order. This code is only available and exclusive to those who purchased set 1 CE. So if you haven't purchased it then I'm afraid you're out of luck.

Thanks! I ordered the initial set but never had this code from AL so I bought the 2nd set off Amazon since it was cheaper.

On another note, kind of annoyed that I missed the early bird for Macross Zero, I have been checking the site (plus blog) every now and again since it was announced and I never saw it on the website until today 😭 I could have sworn it was never like this until today, not sure if this is just me - I really hate the new site 😆

I have some interesting things to mention about 2 of the items I received (although some of you may already know this). Firstly, regarding Tiger & Bunny: The Beginning, the DVD version included in the BD/DVD combo pack is one of the fewest Anime Limited DVDs to be released in PAL format (the DVD for Tiger & Bunny: The Rising though is in NTSC). Secondly, regarding Momotaro: Sacred Sailors, I noticed on Just Passing Through's review on myReviewer that the check discs used All the Anime France's masters (the discs have both English and French subtitles), but the final retail release use the Funimation masters (on both the Blu-ray and the DVD).

Does anyone here know what alltheanime do if a order is returned by Royal Mail cause my order was returned due to insufficient documentation and they’re not responding to my emails

I’m in the same situation I think it happened with a few orders hopefully they just re ship them when they arrive back. We prob won’t get an answer until after Christmas as I’d assume they are on holiday

I would have thought they'd be two separate packages - do you have two separate tracking numbers?
Turns out only one order was in the parcel. I'm still waiting on the second parcel. The first one was delivered around 5 days ago, yet still waiting on the second. Weird. I hope the other parcel hasn't got lost in transit...

So despite the info sheet and AL’s website listing them; Re:Zero Season 2 part 1 doesn’t have any on-disc extras at all.

I haven’t got there yet but I’m assuming that all the extras are on one of the discs in the part 2 set and AL just didn’t bother to check before marketing. Can anyone confirm that Part 2 does indeed have extras?

From what I've read on Normanic Grav's blog, Part 2 does include extras, particularly on disc 2. It has both textless openings and both textless closings, as well as promo videos and commercials. I reckon it's because of Crunchyroll US releasing Season 2 as a complete collection, rather than 2 parts.

That's correct. Crunchyroll released Season 2 as one complete set whereas Anime Limited split it up into two parts, and since the UK release re-uses the US discs (with AL's intro logo and discs being region locked), those extras are on Part 2 Disc 2.

Over on the Anime On-Line site, I cheered when I saw Love Live Superstar - Season 2 available for pre-order only to find out there's no English track.

Why only dub the first season and not the others?

Why only dub the first season and not the others?
Multiple factors come into play when dubbing shows. Licensing costs, numerous voice actors costs/wages, voice actor availability/schedules (possible characters having to be re-cast), studio fees, and most importantly Blu-ray sales figure targets.

All the well-known anime dubbing company studios in the USA eg. (Aniplex USA, Crunchyroll, Discotek, Netflix, Sentai and Viz Media) need to make money and they all have contracts which take into account the (above).

In the case of Love Live Superstar Season 2 as you have stated, while extremely popular in Japan (Love Live franchise) and is guaranteed to make money, in the west however there are fans of the series but not as many unlike in Japan. So taking into consideration that season 2 was never dubbed and the factors above, this is my hypothetical guess - Season 1 sold poorly = No S2 Dub.

Hope this helps.

Are anime limited no longer making dvds and moved to blu ray only ? Just that there seems to be no dvd of eminence of the shadow and no news of a dvd of cyberpunk edgerunners that is out next year.
