I regretted selling my old Bandai 0080 DVD set years ago and because Rightstuf version is not in stock atm, I resorted to buying the Gundam Libraries version from Amazon JP.
I had the old BEI single DVDs for years before replacing them with their Anime Legends boxsets, which I then sell off when AL gives us a Blu-ray.

Having the boxsets saved space and in some cases fixed errors. Miller's Report, the 08th MS Team movie, originally had ruined dub audio. The disc in the Anime Legends release fixed it.
 
Looking forward to Eminem in Shadow, people were very positive about it when it was airing.

I also recently did a read-through of my Anime Limited order history over the years. It seems after buying up most of the Gundam I slowed down a lot. Hopefully the Christmas sale re-releases some stuff like Claymore or Angelic Layer.

I'd argue people who buy product regularly should be listened to and are simultaneously justified in complaining.

You can have a vision for your company but you can't tell customers you're delivering that if they politely and constructively feel otherwise. And indeed most people offering constructive criticism see it as mutually beneficial to customer and company to listen, not because they want to hate.

Oh absolutely. I was responding to the comment about ‘seasonals visitors’ complaining by saying I didn’t see anyone fitting that description in this thread. Some of us just aren’t prolific posters but still have an interest in AL doing better.

No worries, I didn’t think so, was just clarifying.

I won’t pretend that I’m not negative about AL at the moment but it’s because they’ve made some of my favourite sets over the years and I really do want them to do better.

And as much as I know some of my issues are just personal things (I hate that digipaks are dying a death, their additional physical goodies have been dwindling, choice of licenses) some of it is just unacceptable; specially their approach to customer service which seems to be ‘just ignore it’, not bothering to send emails for delays, a website resign that has reduced functionality in nearly every way possible, still no IOSS. It’s not been a great year for AL.
 
I have some queries regarding the "Anime Unlimited" membership. If I wait until the sale starts to sign up, will I still receive the additional discount? Or do I need to sign up BEFORE the 12 days sale starts?

Also, how the heck does one sign up? I can not for the life of me find any information about the membership anywhere on the site-I only know about it from the discussion here!

Discount codes will usually sent out a few days ahead of the sale, but they are usually universal - however can only be claimed / used by users who subscribed.

I'm sorry but I'm still not seeing it. This is all I see at the bottom of the main page. There is a field for subscribing to emails but I don't see anything for purchasing the membership. I am on the desktop site. Is the mobile version different perhaps?

I feel that I should chime in here about the discount ‘activation’ being all but instantaneous.
Earlier on in the year, I subscribed then placed an order using the discount four whole minutes later.
Of course; I’m not advising people to adopt my bad last-minute tendencies, but a day (or even just a few hours) seems like it would be plenty.

Thank you! It amazes me how "hidden" this is to potential customers. I had to turn my ad-blocker off and the form is STILL broken. There is no visible field to enter your name until you click the blank white space next to it. It's as if to be purposefully obtuse. 🤣

Another question, if I may. Does the membership discount work in tandem with the BOGOF titles? I seem to remember not being able to stack any additional coupons in the past. Is there an additional discount to members or must you choose one or the other? Sorry for the volley of questions, this is the first time in a long time that I have considered becoming a member due to AL (finally) reviving the free shipping for international customers (albeit those that spend at an as yet undisclosed threshold). Thank you everyone!
