If FUNi's Tokyo Ghoul is region A/B, and AL is sharing production materials, does that mean our version will be region A/B too?

Maybe nobody's allowed to say this up front. But if you accidentally make it A/B, that would be cool. Just saying :)

Unlikely - although it will for all intents be an identical disc :).

Best,

Has anyone else noticed that Kill la Kill part 3 has gone up to £50 on Amazon? That's a crazy price. I'm glad I locked in my pre order at £37 because that's insane.

I sent Amazon a link to Base's £38.99 listing in the hope that they'd price match, but they went and put the price UP instead. ********s. Base it is, then. Trouble is, I don't know what to expect from their packaging. Padded envelope = almost certain doom for the artbox.

Wow, that's a ****** thing for them to do.

I don't think Amazon price match in the UK unless somebody major is bearing them (Tesco normally). But their pricing system normally works based on demand, so if more people click on a product, the price goes up. If less people click on it, the price goes down. Obviously there are limiting parameters to stop an item going for some kind of ridiculous price.

It's part of their "we basically have a monopoly, so we're going to stop competing" strategy...

I've personally never seen an occasion recently when Amazon haven't been the cheapest by release day - or at the very least within a pound of what other places are offering. So I always prefer to stick with my pre-order there just out of peace of mind. Even if the initial price is higher, it always seems to come down in the end (though it obviously does go back up sometimes too)

Yeah I pre-order day 1 usually for everything I want so that I can capitalise on any 1 day reductions or low prices etc. I'm still waiting on AMazon to drop A lull in the sea from MVM (still in the £110 territory, my order is for £102) but if they don't i'll be cancelling my order with them and going direct to A-O-L.

I plan on doing the same with Love Live. Currently £30 on A-O-L and I got my order in for £35 at Amazon but their current price is almost £45.

Kill La Kill Part 3 would be too big to fit in an envelope (as it includes the artbox to house all three volumes); it would most definitely be sent in a large box.

Heck an Amiibo I ordered from Amazon US was sent in a large box with loads of air-pockets around it.

Andrew or Jeremy, do you have a hopeful date in sight for Escaflowne please? I need this badly.

To save them having to repeat themselves, they said during their most recent podcast, a week or so ago, no specific dates until all elements of the item are in production. They don't want to give a date and then feel compelled to meet it. They'd rather have more time to get everything correct in the first instance.

I believe they did say 2015 Q4 looked likely though (obviously, they'd rather not be held to that)...

Cheers Buzz. As some know on here, work's my only chance to get on here and get my anime news and updates fixes so I never have time to listen to a podcast.

So excited for Escaflowne. Can't wait to see what it's going to look like.

Also looking forward to Tokyo Ghoul. Will preorder that bad boy once I've got most of next month out of the way :p

There's a very strong hint on Viewster's twitter feed that Anime Ltd. has the UK rights to Blood Blockade Battlefront. Should this be the case, it seems like a great acquisition for them...

It's been confirmed that Viewster have it for streaming.
Yes, but after the announcement, they then had the following dialogue with one of their followers,

Chris Bailey: @viewster can't wait to see this thank you the bringing this to the UK
VIEWSTER: @chrisbailey1985 glad we can! @AllTheAnime

The question is, why did Viewster mention Anime Ltd.'s Twitter feed in their reply?

Probably because they licenced it for streaming like they have with Seraph of the End and Heroic Legend of Arslan. Doesn't necessarily mean they have the rights to a physical release (although I hope they do)
