UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

How many people have received their copy of devilman crybaby? Mine was dispatched Thursday, and royal mail appear to have received it Saturday. But it hasn't moved since, expected delivery was today.

For those in the know; what’s the difference between to Perfect Blue Ultimate Edition and the new 4K version? You know, apart from the 4K.
There both sold out on the site but can still check out the contence:

But looks like Ultimate is 2 books of 48 pages and 348, Bluray and CD (possible one of the Books is A4 as alot of other ultimates have a seprate A4 book from what ive seen (guessing the 348 page is A4))
Vs 4k with 132 page book, Blu-ray+4k (not sure on what the 3rd disc is) + art card + quad poster

Cyberpunk CE dispatched on my end too, I'm happy to report. 5pm on release day not ideal but eh, received Devilman early and PB was also sent asap (received before Devilman iirc). Balances out. Maybelline~

I had mine sent the 4th, arrived on the 6th. So, the same as you, just without Royal Mail withholding. We are near Christmas and some parts of the country likely overwhelmed already. Post seems normal at the min where I at in West Mids tho: Warsaw.

I'm the only person to post a picture of it in the photo thread, so it either a poor seller or are others yet to receive. Probably a bit of both, but more so a poor seller given was in early bird redux, unlike Cyber/PB.

The main difference is, the UE went out of print and goes for silly amounts on eBay. That and, as Squiggly mentions, it comes with A4 sized book(s?)... which the UE box matches/is too big like a lot of AL's earlier UEs. The 4k ver is able to fit on shelves, thank the anime Gods. It also looks sexier. 💜🍆

To clear things up; the UE is entirely A4 sized (or slightly larger, all sliding into a stiff card outer box) - both the massively thick and heavy hardback storyboard book and the “companion” book are A4. There’s no disc case to sit alongside a smaller book (instead using the ‘usual’ foam hub in cutouts in the hard cover), nor are there any of the art cards from the other releases (but I guess the images are in the book and on the cover anyway).

I am wondering myself if there’s any point in adding the new 4K to my growing collection of this title. But can’t see there being anything new in the physical materials that’s not already in the big book (so not much to recommend getting the CE). While although 4K, it’s not a different cut of the film (and there’s the non-remastered “original” included on the existing Blu-ray (I can’t honestly say I expect substantial benefit in adding a simple 4K disc either).
