UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

No chance that there won't be a standard 4K release at some point down the line - especially for something that has seemingly high demand going by the websites that are sold out of the steelbook.

The fact that there's a Japanese standard edition for the B/W version, means that Anime Limited could possibly release that down the road as well (if that's also included as part of their licence). Of course, they want to shift as many CEs and steelbooks as possible first though.

AL, is Gundamn 79 part 2 ever getting restocked?

MVM have stock at £48 on AoL, or via Amazon at £37 if that's any help.

Kaiji season 2 is this weeks EB.
Kaiji season 2 already but they STILL haven't releases Kakegurui season 2. It has been three years since they claimed that we have nothing to worry about in regards of them releasing the second season when we voiced our worries that they might never release the second season.

Anyone know whats happening with the solo levelling vinyl record set - amazon said i was suppose to get it today however just got an email saying its been delayed and they will update me - i did some searching all the anime took it off there website and hmv are saying its not coming out until jan 2026!

I think it already got delayed once as well and annoying that you have to pay that far in advance if it really is delayed until 2026

Witch From Mercury sets arrived and I'm really mixed. I genuinely believe this should have gone to AL, especially after 9 years of shepherding the franchise here.

At the same time, the slim steelbook packaging which uses each season's teaser key visual as the cover and the airing one as inner tray art...I'm sorry, but that looks better than a cardboard box displaying whatever random art Sunrise could be bothered to send.

Mine have arrived too, I've opened the cardboard envelopes they came in, but not taken off the shrinkwrap to properly look at the sets yet :)

Just seen this image on AL's Facebook page. Reminds of the kind of thing you see for different editions of video games.

I know AL probably had very little wiggle room in terms of how they presented the sets and what was included, but I wonder what will be the first Blu-ray release with 7-days early access.

Feels totally unnecessary as well. The bluray and DVD are just that. The steel book is the 4k release with a spare bluray and bonus disc and the deluxe set has the black and white movie. There done, I just described them.

Also fyi the deluxe edition is cheapest at aol. I have it preordered there.

It appears that the idea of AL's Gundam Collection being a complete collection is already dead. My dream of having a nice matching set of UC shows feels like it's slipping away, unless AL managed to licence some of the other series' before Funicrunchymanga and their SODDING BLUE BAR SLIPCASES got their grubby mits on Gundam.

It's such a terrible thing to do but sadly completely in keeping with so much of what I've seen from Sunrise from both a fan and official capacity.

On top of everything else, AL have platformed LGBTQIA+ voices. I have no doubt they'd have done right by Witch From Mercury. Add in rumblings from the US that Crunchyroll have basically binned Nozomi's previous Gundam work.
