I didn't know that. I must have missed it.

By the way, has anyone else with a PureHMV card bought Blu-ray from HMV within the last few weeks and not received double points? I emailed customer.service@purehmv.com and have had no reply, not even the automated message you usually get initially.

Edit: I've now received my double points. Hmm, I wonder what happened there.

My local HMV has a decent selection of anime, I like how they merged the DVD and Blu Ray section together. When I was in Brighton the other week, I saw that the HMV there has closed It's a shame as that one had a fantastic anime selection.

The HMV I sometimes browse through in Sheffield has a pitiful selection compared to what it once was. One rack of DVDs, many less Blu-rays. Not a decent selection or reasonable prices/any offers unless you're looking specifically for something by studio Ghibli or directed by Mamoru Hosoda. I would assume the vast number of Manga titles going out of print has something to do with it, but it's pretty grim nonetheless.

The Newcastle one wasn't bad in terms of selection both DVDs and Blurays. Lots of old Manga DVD sets for £9.99.

HMV from Bond Street has a great selection of anime. They even have some OOP anime titles

(Though I remember seeing a copy of the OOP Beez release of The Tatami Galaxy in a Fopp store once. And Witch Hunter Robin in HMV some years ago...)

Yeah, a 6 hour transatlantic flight is a lot more manageable than a bus ride to the outskirts of town. I’ll hop on over and check it out when I have a spare couple of grand. Unintentionally hilarious spam is my favourite spam.
