It's a single cour TV show from a few years ago. It was released in R1 some time ago, with a name change.

More hints available if needed.

Ok, the series originated as a game, which was based in a particular region. There are a lot of references to the setting in the series, almost to the extent that it would make a good tourism advertisement.

It's also nothing like my usual taste.

Apparently nobody else bought it, so it probably didn't do too well in sales.
