Selling and even importing 'loli' has been illegal for a very long time. The CJB would just make it illegal to own something you illegally obtained ;)
Did I understood things incorrectly then? I'm talking things such as moonphase or things like ghotic lolitas books. I was pretty sure they were all legal.

CJB was about nudes, wasn't it?

It does. Its also just about the ownership of such items. But the customs and excise bill dating back decades already makes it illegal to import such items. (and lets not forget the obscene publications act..)

If people think moonphase or elfen lied will fall foul of the CJB then they need serious help ;)

But doesn't t this shows feature loli?
Maybe I'm confused on the definition of loli itself...

I think many people are.

Many assume that loli = child porn. Which is why I put it in quotes in my earlier post. The book the term has been coined from didn't feature any....

Oh, my bad. the way I read it seemed to me that you were equating loli to child porn.

My philosophy is you can do whatever the hell you want as long as it doesn't harm anybody else, and since nobody was harmed in the making of loli images then people should be free to look at them if they want, it's all well and good saying 'I'm not a loli, so I don't care' but it'll be something you like next. THOUGHT POLICE.

Derfel's website contains a link to the official petition running, the one requesting that the CJB doesn't cut into into comic artists' freedoms. That's the one most of us have signed.

Remember kids, you can't fight for a freedom you never actually had ;) The ability to do something does not imply a freedom.

Try telling people in the US that...
Not really. You have the theorethical ability get things by force from someone else, let's smaller / weaker people. Do you have the freedom to do so?

Same is valid anywhere. Theorically rights are the same. They are granted on the basis they don't restrict the rights of others.

I wouldn't say rubbing it in exactly, just they rave & shout about how much 'freedom' they have in the US, when really they have no more than us. Too fixated about what they are entitled to without knowing their responsibilities. Thats why they sue whenever something bad happens.

Steerable dishes eh? It strikes me as somewhat amusing to learn that simply looking towards a different satellite is all that's required to watch foreign television. That could make for some interesting lonely nights indoors.
To catch the signal, yes, but you would still need to have a decoder, such as an sky box for animax, I believe.

eh?

so...I can just adjust the Sky dish and get US channels?
