I would've thought it was more about bringing some of the American shows on Toonami to terrestrial television later on. Like Teen Titans and Justice League. Those are really popular, but kids that don't have Sky have never seen them.

I agree with Imp, DC's books were much better in the 90s. Young Justice especially had two female teen characters that were very realistic and easy to relate to. I still buy both DC and Marvel comics, but I've found myself buying less these days. I've just grown out of them, I guess.

I watched it this morning (taped), and I think Jonathan Ross referred to himself as an otaku and John Barrowman said he liked that stuff too. Not too sure, I'll try watching it again.

This is great news! I love GTO. The first episode was a bit out there, but by the second, you get really attached to the characters. I've always wanted to check out Initial D. (Funnily enough, Onizuka's a fan of Initial D)
