Is anyone else still waiting for stuff from the Christmas sale? I ordered 6 Gundam blu-rays on the 1st of December, I received 4 of them on the 7th, but the final two (Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ) are still awaiting dispatch? Is this just the Royal Mail strike?

I've been working my way through all of Gundam from the beginning, and I found the BOGOF with the price reductions pretty irresistible! I limited my haul to: I wanted to buy more (buy it ALL!), but my wallet says no and I really should watch what I have first.

That's one of the big ones on my wishlist! Day 1 purchase for me.

Both parts of War for the Underworld arrived this morning.

My copy of the Evangelion UE just arrived and it is a beast! Everything is on super heavyweight card stock, and the whole thing weighs a ton! The disc holders are all in perfect condition/working order, with no stray glue, loose discs etc. Very happy so far.

Yeah, I could see people buying non-anime DVDs in Sainsbury's being driven by price and not caring about quality, but I think the anime collectors probably skew heavily towards Blu-rays. I could be wrong, but seeing these fire sales specifically on DVDs would seem to indicate otherwise? Also...

I've made four orders with Zavvi and I had to get one replaced because it was inadequately packaged and got damaged in the post. It hasn't stopped me from ordering the CE from Zavvi, but I'd rather have bought it from All The Anime.
