    Dekai Anime in Liquidation

I just received an email today from the company in charge of liquidation. Did you end up getting refunded via PayPal/your issuer for anything you ordered? I have one order open for 2 items that I bought via PayPal and have just raised a claim via their Resolution Center - just wondering if...

It's wonderful isn't it? Good time to get it too, you can then go and order the Soundtrack Vinyl from AL that's out soon.

I'm not sure but I've put a note against my order asking if they can send me a replacement once it's available. I guess we'll see...

Just got mine. Interested to know if anyone else has subtitle issues with it. It looks like the first 2 episodes of Disc 1 have the wrong subtitles. Like they don't match the Japanese dialogue at all. It looks like they might be intended for a different episode. From my limited scanning...

I live in eternal hope that we get Yuru Camp on BD someday.

It is also true though that Air, Kanon and Clannad (and Little Busters, Rewrite etc) all do have a certain "style" where the characters have very big eyes, with their mouths unusually close to them. Itaru Hinoue was Key's character designer for most of these and she does have a "distinct" style...

The bigger problem was I no longer had a region 1 DVD player so I got rid of them. I think they might have been even earlier versions anyway, ADV maybe? Can't remember. Anyway, simpler to just have DVDs for your region :P

It's a shame to see Air and Kanon only on DVD, but as a lifelong Key and KyoAni fan I feel compelled to buy them anyway. Hopefully still be better than the not great region 1 DVDs I imported years ago.

Apologies if this has been covered before, but I bought the K-ON! BD set from MVM (anime-on-line). I think it's still sealed as I didn't open it after hearing about the disc issues. Could I send it back to MVM to be replaced with the new version or is there no real policy around this yet?

    Overseas The Discotek Media Thread

Man, I really want Project A-Ko - it occupies a place of nostalgia for me as the first anime I ever saw back when I was a little whippersnapper, and I'd absolutely love to own a remaster especially seeing the work that's gone into restoring it. However I am assuming this will be region A locked...

It's really fun. I remember watching it purely because I saw it was by the same author as the Tatami Galaxy :D

I'd certainly buy it if it was available on BD. Love that series :)

UK Anime Distributor MVM Entertainment Discussion Thread

What I watch used to be very driven by how a series scored on AniDB, MAL etc. But over the years I have learned that it certainly isn't the be all and end all when it comes to whether I'll enjoy a series or not. Whilst there aren't many really highly rated series that I've outright hated...

I'm actually tempted by that myself (also, NICE price), although Rightstuf charge a fortune for UK shipping now :( Do they tend to region lock Blu-Rays on that label, do you know? Honestly I don't understand why this series got so vilified when there have been so many other "borderline hentai"...

Really enjoyed SYD. Honestly never thought we'd get it over here, so that's an instant buy for me. Hope we get the OVAs at some point too.

Likewise. Oh well :p Edit: Now that the only option is "pay a ****-tonne" if you want it, just wondering what the cheapest anyone else has found it for is. Most sites I've seen that are UK-based are pricing it at £1,100 or more. Buying directly from GoodSmile shop comes in at ~110,000 JPY...

Yeah based on my dealings with Zavvi I wouldn't trust them even if their CEO promised me something directly to my face. Still, that's interesting to see. Problem is they have a whole year to change their mind and cancel it any time so I still think the chances are slim. Worth a try though as I...
