I very much doubt it, I've used Anime On Line countless times and I've never once had an issue with them. It's more likely that someone's got hold of your paypal account (if you have one) or cloned your card at a petrol station/non-bank cash point.
An Astro Boy competition is running here at Anime UK News and we too are running one at News-Anime.com as well. So double your chances of winning by entering: here.
A good company wouldn't release any boxsets of an anime currently airing on TV for the first time, otherwise it completely devalues the product on the mainstream medium and kills a good portion of their potential viewers.
South Park aired at what, 2130ish? Very different, also by that point there was established offensive American cartoons on the market. This would potentially be the first glance at more "adult" anime in the UK, to longevity for an entire form of medium it needs to be carefully introduced...
Maybe I didn't make myself fully clear - I'm talking about films only for Film4 to be occasionally pushed to Channel 4. GitS the film is perfect for Film4 as the viewing slots tend to be on after 10pm, which opens a lot more anime film up for us to watch. Film4 only air the same anime films as...
In all fairness though, where would Channel 4 slot in Death Note into their viewing schedules?
In Japan it aired at like 1am or some ridiculous hour, so why would any channel want to air something like that in the UK where we currently have next to no mass market appeal for more mature anime...

Heh, there's worse things than Totally Spies admittedly. But their lovely tones in a feature length movie would be something worth crying over.
Or even worse, Johnny Test the movie.
I've had a conversation with Manga about this (a bit of a misunderstanding at first) but basically it's to protect the fans as some naughty bootleggers make fake DVD covers and use official logos to try and con unknowing people into buying goods that they think is genuine when they're in fact...
Actually, Envoy are also trying to sue The Guardian as well. They've issued a summons via an Australian lawyer to a UK blogger, but their company is based in the US. A strange one granted, but Nintendo sued a few websites for trademark (such as the Zelda fansite LegendOfZelda.com - they lost...
Borders in Central London is lovely, it's like three stories high. They often do mini conferences and stuff on the top floor.
I've bought manga from Otakers before they were bought out by Waterstones and I just hope Borders makes it through. Even if they're owned by WHSmiths (and I agree with...
It's not grassing, it's pointing people in the right direction. In the long run, he would have found out where it came from as Manga Entertainment and the PR firm which they use are in contact with Chaos here. All I, as News Anime, did was point him in the direction to make sure that...
