Just a quick shout from across the water, but the Belfast HMV is somewhat lacking and getting worse. I asked a while back why stock is random and was told it was down to supply and demand. Due to the niche nature of anime in the UK and the general lack of high street trade for it, anything that...
My views on importing has altered slightly since earlier days. I haven't needed to imort as much as a small parity has begun to develop between the US and UK through streaming sites and the titles released. This is observed with newer titles so odds are if you wait you'll get your hands on a UK...
Re: The Q & A Thread (for questions that do not need a threa
Probably does, but so far you seem to be the only one looking down the avenue of Anglo-European releases. Any I've seen tended to be on Amazon and Ebay due to their international clientele. In saying that Beez were a French company...
Nothing silly about it. We remember what we can and make up the rest, much like Abe Simpson ;) :D
Shadow Skill is a decent anime. Watch it and tell us what you think. We are all glad to help :) .
Hi Random :)
I've been lurking and mucking through other things in my life. Also trying out new things. I'm glad you are still around. Many of the old Neo members have scattered. Manning and I are still on the UKA forum. I'm also playing at the Anime Forums UK (www.animeforum.org.uk). How have...
If my memory serves me right Fist was aired around 1994-1996 on Channel 4. I remembered seeing anime sooner around 91-92 then a lull then FOTNS then occassional Ghibli outings in the New Millenium.
Back on topic (sorry about that  :) ) Of anime between FOTNS and the mid nineties that...
Stand Back Everyone. Most of my collection coming through

Castle of Cagliostro
Secret of the twilit Gemini
Wings of Honneamise
Akira
Ninja Scroll (Movie)
Porco Roso
Dirty Pair Flash
X (The movie)
Appleseed...
TBH OP. You can't go far wrong with older anime. Like you I've been off the boil somewhat, but I do stand to be corrected. The only recent anime I can recommend, generally, is Redline.
Re: The Q & A Thread (for questions that do not need a threa
Sorry to jump in but does anyone know of what is happening to UK-Anime.net? It seems to have vanished?
Hi Everyone. Great News, I'm away down under on a family holiday in March (leave St Paddy's Day and return the day after Easter). My first week will be spent in Melbourne City doing the touristy stuff. One port of call is the Aquarium (not far from the apartment) and not far from the Minotaur...
Sticking to your remit is petty tricky OP. I'm another view who isn't too fussy, but I can agree that stereotyping and cliche is a touch prevalent. I've not bought any more than maybe 5 new titles in the last 3 years largely for the stereotyping, but there are a few titles that might fall into...
Worst case scenario is if you leave it you could be left hunting E Bay and Amazon marketplaces for the more optimistically priced examples (an option to be taken seriously).
I think there is a thread here :P :D . I have a few ecchi and hentai titles in my collection, not to mention alot of fanservice heavy titles. The reason I've got away with it is more to the fact my parents took little to do with my interests and always respected my space, but at the same time...
I don't get it. Are the titles given (give or take) all playable on R2 dvd's but only purchasable abroad. If so WTF.
In all seriousness though many of the titles given were and are available here anyway.
