Couldn't agree more. Whisper of the Heart is very, very good at what it sets out to do. I enjoyed the whole Country Road sub plot as well. Although it was a bit weird hearing it in Japanese. I just liked everything about the film. The characters were great, art work was the usual Ghibli...

To be honest, if they don't get Yoko Kanno, John Williams or a seriously talented jazz group behind this. the film has already failed.

That's what i mean. Why use the best material the show has in one movie, obviously they can't be thinking of a sequel then if that is the case.

Spike has charisma and dry wit. Keanu seems to get roles that require no emotion (matrix, the day the earth stood still) I'm also worried that they are saying they will take highlights from the rest of the series. ummm, it was episode in nature, not a big storyline that you can just pluck...

I hope not. Shuffle is one of the biggest let down's ive watched in years. they did a pretty decent job developing it from a game.

I find it interesting that Howl's castle has actually been given a poorer timeslot than when they shows Spirited Away. If i remember correctley, Spirited Away was shown on Boxing day at 6pm a year or two ago. I can't help but thinking that time slot is more aimed at children (it is a sunday...
