Is the film any good? I've seen a few of the music videos and the music is okay. The animation reminds my of the old 80s series like Battle of the Planets so it isn't particularly overwhelming in brilliance but is okay. So would I like the film?

GitS doesn't do too bad with techno. I like Cowboy Bebop despite hating the soundtrack Not too much bashing going on, personal tastes will never quite match a list like that.

Not been able to find a copy of the mag yet. Nice variety in the list. I expect Animatrix is in there because it has a selection of different anime styles and has sold loads more than most of the others in there. Totoro is an excellent film (and doesn't use awful jazz music to sound cool!)

I liked the tv series. If you don't take it too seriously then it is pretty entertaining, the fight scenes are great although the plot is rather linear. I don't see how anyone can find the series silly and not the film, they are equal in silliness. Some of the special ninja powers are the...

Not great, although the only episode I've seen had no sex or swearing in it. A bit stereotypical and predictable, plus a bit silly how they all saw that people were going to die in a certain place but they all still went there.

Only a matter of time before it becomes a pay to download service with legal content. You won't get the subs, but someone might come up with a system that applies them soonish. US Amazon is already doing legal movie downloads.
