#4: Crazy Lips, Gore from Outer Space & Survive Style 5+
Third Window Films decided to setup their own online store and I figured I'll give it a try for two of their latest releases which arrived together.

The first is a J-Horror double feature collection by director Hirohisa Sasaki with his 2000 film Crazy Lips (発狂する唇) and 2001 film Gore from Outer Space (血を吸う宇宙). Crazy Lips stars Hitomi Miwa (Love & Pop), Kazuma Suzuki (Tokyo Trash Baby), Ren Osugi (Cure) & Hiroshi Abe (Still Walking), whilst Gore from Outer Space stars Hiroshi Abe, Aimi Nakamura (Ju-On: White Ghost), Sadao Abe (Kamikaze Girls) & Tomomi Kuribayashi (The Revenge: A Visit from Fate).

Third Window have been exploring older and obscure Japanese releases and this was teased earlier in the year. The limited edition Blu-ray release includes a slipcase, Scanavo case, reversible artwork and mini booklet with various promo artwork.

Next we have Third Window's first entry into the 4K Ultra HD format with Gen Sekiguchi's 2004 film Survive Style 5+ starring Tadanobu Asano (The Taste of Tea), Reika Hashimoto (Hakuchi: The Innocent), Kyoko Koizumi (Tokyo Sonata), Hiroshi Abe (After the Storm), Ittoku Kishibe (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time), Yumi Aso (Perfect Days) and many more in this anthology.

It's a 4K Ultra HD only limited edition (a standard Blu-ray is also available) which includes a slipcase, 4K amaray case and a booklet.

PS5 Haul 2026 - Control Resonant & Tales of Eternia 1.webp

#5: CONTROL Resonant & Tales of Eternia Remastered
From The Game Collection we have two brand new video games that are finally released in physical formats, delivered over two days.

CONTROL Resonant is an Action RPG developed by Remedy and is the fourth instalment in the Remedy Connected Universe series following Alan Wake, Control & Alan Wake II. While the first Control was a third-person shooter with kinetic abilities, in this game we have a traditional hack 'n slash adventure which is a pretty neat change of pace. It's not a Souls game and there will be a lot of exploration involved but Remedy never misses in my opinion. The digital version was released in September but the physical is now available.

Next we have another Action RPG but one that was made in Japan back in 2000 for the original PlayStation with Tales of Eternia Remastered by developer Wolfteam (who also made the Earnest Evan games that Edia & Limited Run Games recently released). Originally named Tales of Destiny II for North America back in the day which aged poorly superfast, it's the first time Bandai Namco has actually acknowledged the older entries in a very long time since the newer games had received the remastered treatment the most. The trophy list does reference Tales of Phantasia which could be next in the line-up as part of the Tales of 30th Anniversary.

Hybrid Haul 2026 - Dynasty Warriors 3 & Telenet Collection 1.webp

#6: Dynasty Warriors 3 Remastered & Telenet Shooting Collection I+II
The next day we have VideoGamesPlus delivering two recent releases from Asia.

Hybrid Haul 2026 - Dynasty Warriors 3 & Telenet Collection 2.webp

Shin Sangoku Musō 2 with Mōshōden Remastered (真・三國無双2 with 猛将伝 Remastered), or more commonly known in the west as Dynasty Warriors 3 Remastered, is an action musou game developed by Omega Force originally released for the PlayStation 2 back in 2001 (& 2002 for the Xtreme Legends version which adds additional content). This is considered the best instalment in the entire franchise and also notable for its infamous English dub which has been preserved for this remaster. I've always wanted to play this particular instalment and I'm so happy its released physically. While the physical wasn't released outside Asia, it is import friendly and includes English support for the Japanese & Asian releases (much like the recent Koei Tecmo games).

Telenet Shooting Collection I+II is a new compilation collection from Edia and exclusively released in Asia by Play-Asia. This is an interesting one because in Japan they have two collections and only the first collection was released physically by Limited Run Games. Here it marks the debut for the second collection and both are on the same cart. I do own the first collection but I'll eventually get rid of it.

If you're not familiar with this, Telenet Shooting Collection I features SEGA Mega Drive games Granada (1990) and Gaiares (1990) and PC Engine games Avenger (1990) and Psychic Storm (1992), while Telenet Shooting Collection II features PC Engine games Kiaidan 00 (1992), Final Zone II (1990), Browning (1992) and Legion (1990). All of them are part of the shoot 'em up genre and it's a genre that works perfectly well for the Nintendo Switch format.

I received one anime Blu-ray pre-order today from Crunchyroll:

Alienoid and it's sequel.
Took a fancy to this after viewing the filmography of So Ji-sub.
Decided to just order both as allyourmusic had 12% off 2 or more.

Blu-ray.com had them as region A and B which turns out to be correct.

Latest batch of Fairy Tail from eBay.

Just so your aware those sets are the older collections (so 2 discs per part rather than 4 in the newer collections) and as such are the part versions for 5-8 and essentially works out to be the newer collections 3 (episodes 49-72) & 4 (episodes 73-96).

So the next sets needed would be collection 5 of the newer releases (as the older parts series never went past part 8 unless you start looking into the Australian sets/parts)

I received this soundtrack album from an eBay seller on Monday. I had purchased the DVD sets for both the Series and the Movie from Rightstuf long ago, way back in 2014, and picked up a couple of Japanese posters from the movie in 2022, so I was very happy to get a copy of the soundtrack on LP to go along with them:
