What manga are you reading now?

Beware of Chicken v1-v2: Not sure if this should really be here as, despite it being an isekai, it is written by a Canadian and sees a man from that country reincarnated into a young Chinese-style cultivator in a Chinese themed magical world. The first two books are 2-3 times the size of your standard Japanese light novel (there are six so far), and there is a lot of action and interesting story as we follow our hero as he builds a farm in the wilderness and finds friends and family in the local villagers (and animals). Very enjoyable.

I was wondering what would be considered the first true isekai novel, and I think (if you discount fairy tales) it could have been A Princess Of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs. It sees a man fall asleep in a cave and his spirit travels to a world of sword and sorcery where he learns magical powers and finds love. Argue away!

There are audiobooks of Beware of Chicken, I have the first volume in that format (not listened yet though but it did sound entertaining) :)

Mad Hatter: am I a joke to you? 🤪

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland 1865!

Actually I knew it was 19th Century, but not that old.
I did consider Alice, but it's more of a dream world while the standard isekai definition is a separate world with rules and distinct civilisational standards where someone from our world finds themselves transported to (body or soul) and having to fit in. The Wizard of Oz could be a contender, though. That was around the same time as Mars, wasn't it

Arata: The Legend by Yuu Watase via the Viz Media Android app. After very recently finishing 'Absolute Boyfriend', I was really in the mood to read something else from her. This is also marked down as her first Shonen series, and with it being published over 24 volumes this should take me some time to read through.

I love The Wizard of Oz I've got an illustrated unabridged edition where all the illustrations are collages! :)
