Patlabor: The Mobile Police The Original Series OVA (Rewatch) (Complete. Discotek Media’s re-release of this OVA series prompted a rewatch for most of the overall franchise. This is still a great start and Noa will remain my profile picture for a good while yet.) 4/5

Patlabor: The Movie (Film) (Rewatch) I like this just as much the third time around - as I think I mentioned before it felt reminiscent of a longer episode of the OVA series which worked for me. 4/5

Patlabor 2: The Movie (Film) (Rewatch) This still remains arguably the pinnacle of the Patlabor franchise and is still some of Mamoru Oshii’s best work. 4.5/5

Bland MC, party members I've seen before. Usual story. Pity the MC isn't like Kelvin from Black Summoner.

Not to throw shade on Suzie Yeung, but I definitely prefer Maaya Sakamoto as Kusanagi in this version. She seems to be playing it a lot closer to Atsuko Tanaka’s original performance.

An apprentice witch is told on her 17th birthday that she has a year to live due to a curse. The only way to break the curse is to collect tears of joy from people, so she sets out to break the curse.
I'm not sure I totally care about our MC, she seems a bit brattish, but the first "case" was quite a moving one.

Kowloon Generic Romance (dub) ep 1
Reiko works for an estate agency along with her annoyingly charming co-worker Hajime.
The romance seems anything but generic with slight sci-fi undertones with a giant floating cube hanging ominously overhead and a hint at the end that all is not what it seems with their relationship or the world (or perhaps her perception of the world).

A Ninja and an Assassin Under One Roof ep 1
A Ninja (accidentally) runs away from her village and meets as assassin in the city. Turns out the ninja has a special skill that'll help the assassin climb the ranks of assassins and as an added bonus is good at cooking and cleaning too, so decides to take her under her roof.
The relationship seems a bit exploitative, but seems like a wacky enough show with, from the OP, a large cast of colourful characters.

ZatsuTabi -That's Journey- ep 1
A struggling new mangaka gets her drafts for a new story rejected, when she gets home a TV show inspires her to go on a journey outside of Tokyo.
Seems that's what will happen every episode and then I bet she'll end up writing a Manga about it and it'll get published. I think I recognised the place she visited from an Abroad in Japan video, so it'll be interesting to see if that happens again!

Apocalypse Hotel ep 1
A bunch of robots built to run a hotel are somehow still functioning 100 years after a virus wiped out humanity or at least those not fortunate enough to be able to flee. They continue to run the hotel even with 0 customers.

Food for the Soul ep 1
Mako a nervous 1st year university student runs into a girl who was a friend in elementary school. Said old friend is trying to form a club called the Food Culture Research Club and, of course, Mako would bring the number of students in the club to the right number to make it official!
Mako seems so nervous about doing new things you wonder how she ended up going to Uni at all and she also somehow has a part-time job! Also I wonder why they choose to set it at Uni rather than the usual High School? Hey ho looks like they'll be plenty of food porn.
