UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

@Hanners The Sparks of Tomorrow event isn't on the MCM website despite reservations for panels going live tomorrow, will there be a way to reserve my spot there soon or is it whoever can get in first on the day? (Unless I got something wrong, I'm new to cons)

Unlikely sadly - those shows have a long and successfully history in France, whereas they're practically unknown in the UK. Add in BBFC costs and it doesn't really make a whole lot of sense at this point in time.

This can be a tricky thing because it's a relatively recent trend. For the longest time it used to be that your ticket or pass granted you access to effectively everything bar separate ticketed adjacent events (case in point, way back when AL rented out a nearby small cinema to offer the MCM Loves Anime film fest). But now a lot of stuff is locked behind specific tickets and if you haven't bought them it's a no go. Case in point last year they had David Tennant and despite being told a press pass would get me in if I arrived early enough, I was quite forcefully booted.

The good thing is AL generally try to keep their stuff open but of course they're ultimately at the discretion of the event.

As far as I'm aware it's an open event for anyone with an MCM ticket, so it'll just be first come, first served on the day (and it's a big auditorium so I'd expect a decent amount of space).
 
@Hanners I’ve asked this on here before but my previous post must have got lost in the mix; any chance you could get the original Love Live: School Idol Project for a new Blu-ray release? It’s the only one missing from your catalogue and MVM’s Blus are long OOP so would be nice to see them get a new release.

@Hanners it has been a week since I contacted Anime Limited's customer service about the incorrect booklet I received with my copy of the Love Live! Superstar!! Season 3 Collector's Edition and I included pictures of the French booklet to prove that it's indeed in French instead of English but Anime Limited's customer service has not replied back to me. What should I do?

@NormanicGrav and @Titan have you contacted AL's customer support asking for a replacement booklet? If you have, has AL replied back to you?

I contacted AL last Wednesday about the booklet & they replied the next day asking me to post the booklet back to them. & to confirm my shipping address, so they can send me the replacement booklet.

To follow up on this, I sent an email a day or so ago which I haven't gotten a response to, but I did just get notification that my order has shipped. :)

I might have bought the MVM one.
It's got 2 separate parts. I watched 12 episodes ages ago. I could have a serious think if I will ever go back to it.
 
Is the UK set of Violet Evergarden tv sold out? Seems to me AL'd make more as it seems to be a pretty good seller. Funny thing is the LE set of the movie is still for sale.

There's been a hold-up of the latest reprint of the Standard Edition, but it should be back in stock pretty soon now as that's all been resolved.

AL told in an e-mail that they have had technical issue where e-mails sent to outlook.com and hotmail.com addresses have not been received. They said this should be fixed by now but I did not get a reply from AL after I confirmed receipt of their message and my shipping address.

@Hanners do you know if these technical issues are still ongoing? I am asking so I know if I should switch to gmail. Thank you in advance.
