The Anime/Manga I Bought Today Was...

After being really disappointed with the Crunchyroll store, I wasn't going to use them again even with the £20 off coupon they gave me.
I decided that I would order
The Strongest Magician in the Demon Lord's Army is a Human.

At least this time I know it will take ages.

Weirdly, their store has less on it than HMV, Rarewaves etc.
Only 150 titles and some of them are soundtracks.

This'll be the last time. The experience has really shown me I value speed over price.

For the same reasoning, I bundled together:
  • Summer Wars 4K UHD + Blu-ray + CD Deluxe Edition
  • NARUTO Shippuden Volume 3 - Blu-ray
And a better use off the 10% Anime Unlimited discount with the free shipping as well.

From the MediaOCD Store and to be delivered to my Stackry address:

Kamikaze Girls BD
Kekko Kamen SDBD
Golden Boy BD
Sgt. Frog Seasons 5-7 SDBD
Vivid Strike! BD

Two of these were just added as Deep Dives, and the rest were more or less random picks from my pickup list. Vivid Strike! vanished from the CR store as I was comparing prices - barely any Discotek titles left there now so I’m not sure if they’ll do another sale there.

When crappyroll/Sony purchased Rightstuf it only took them less than 3 years to totally destroy RS's reputation and the trust and loyalty Kleckner had built with his many customers over the decades. I probably purchased over half of my anime collection from there but I stopped after seeing what had happened to RS.

Being in the UK, I only used Rightstuf for the sales and will always be grateful for some cracking prices.
Patlabor 3 DVD for a dollar.
Qwaser of Stigmata for $13.

And an efficient and speedy international service. Their communication was great.

Ordered from Crunchyroll Store (Sale)
  • Appare-Ranman!
  • Pokemon Sun & Moon: Ultra Adventures
  • Pokemon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle
  • Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina
Appare-Ranman! and Wandering Witch are two fantastic hidden gems I'd highly recommend.

I still find it odd that Ultra Adventures is only one of two PKMN seasons to release on blu-ray in English. Secrets of the Jungle is one of my favourite PKMN movies, been wanting to own this for a while now.

Pre-ordered from MediaOCD
  • Lupin the Third vs. Cat's Eye
Pre-ordered from GKIDS Store
  • Lupin the IIIrd: The Movie - The Immortal Bloodline
Despite it being very likely AL will release The Immortal Bloodline on blu-ray over here (and will be buying it when it does) seeing as they have theatrical, as I own the U.S. release of every Lupin movie, TV special and OVA on blu-ray, I want to keep the collection up-to-date and complete.

I am just holding off on the TV special collections though to see if we'll get individual releases for those few TV specials that are exclusive to those collections on blu-ray.

I hope we get some news on the Zenigata movie taking place between Fujiko's Lie and Immortal Bloodline as I want to watch that first before jumping into the movie. You'd think GKIDS would release that first or in tandem unless Discotek get the rights to it.

I'm also glad to finally pick up the Cat's Eye crossover, enjoyed that movie a lot, especially being a Cat's Eye fan as well.

Ordered from All the Anime (Spring Sale)
  • Call of the Night (S1) (CE)
  • The Dangers in my Heart (S1) (CE)
  • Lonely Castle in the Mirror (CE)
  • The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes (CE)
Apart from Lonely Castle in the Mirror these are all blind-buys for me which admittedly I've tried to stop doing so much but I've heard great things about the other three titles and they have nice CE's.

Ordered from  ebay
  • Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead
I've been hoping that AL would license this at some point and I hope they do still but for now I've decided to import the standard edition release as I'm really fancying a re-watch and it is one of my favourite anime from the last few years.

I also got a good price on it which helped my decision.
