I've been thinking of this.
Kinda crazy. You generally want to encourage people to spend more not punish them for doing so.
- Any orders aside from these may be affected by some other issue with stock and will likely need to be checked up on; I know we're working through customer service e-mails, but if anyone has an order that doesn't fit into the above two categories drop me a DM and I'll take a look. Specifically, I know a whole batch of Promised Neverland Collector's Edition stock has gone AWOL in transit (and I don't think that's going to be recovered), and I think we have one or two other shortages where final units of stock arrived damaged in some cases. We're also waiting on a Perfect Blue DVD reprint which got snarled up in some kind of existential shenanigans, so that is also delaying some orders.
Good to hear. I'm picturing a truck heading your way.Just had more stuff start to move!!! Very excited![]()
Gotta say I love these updates and explanations. Wish they were on the AL site or on their socials, but I reall do dig them,The issue here is basically that logistics are set up around certain expected parameters, in terms of parcel sizes, so when orders go way over that (as we saw a lot this Christmas), not only does that increase the pick and pack time for those orders, it also means either:
a. Getting a custom shipping quote for the order (which requires manpower and a back and forth with courier services)
b. Splitting the order across multiple boxes, which has a further impact on picking and packing as a lot more care and attention is required to make sure that everything is packed, split and noted so that nothing is missed and everything is packaged up properly
Again, this isn't about punishing people for big orders, but maximising shipping bandwidth. This is all stuff I'll hopefully be sitting down and discussing with our fulfilment partner at some point, as this is a shift in purchasing that has really changed notably over the last 12 months or so, so I'm certainly keen to see/understand if there are things that can be done to make those processes work better during busy periods.
Also, a quick word on stock allocation - stock is allocated to your order when it is placed, not when it's picked, so your stock is secured at the point your order is confirmed automatically by the system. Now, obviously, issues can still arise from this (with stock reporting discrepancies at our central storage warehouse largely, which is a whole other can of infuriating worms), but the idea that we allocate stock based on when we ship out the order is false, and I just wanted to put that out there.
GENERAL SALE SHIPPING UPDATE:
Sorry for the radio silence on here, but I was away last week and just catching up on things - at this point, my understanding is that we were about a week behind schedule on that previously noted 6th February date, but that all orders have shipped out barring:
- The very largest orders that are still being filtered into the system as mentioned
- A number of Irish orders that were caught up in our system to prevent any customs importation issues given how stringent they are with paperwork - it seems that some of these got "stuck", but these should now all be cleared and will ship out in due course - sorry to those affected!

Cliff notes, if you have a sub-20 item order that isn't shipping to Ireland, let me know your order number in a DM and I'll look into it.

I think it's crazy you have to even say this. To my knowledge, this is fairly standard procedure for online stores, so the continued posts here from people who think they aren't getting what they ordered because something now shows as sold out or has disappeared from the website has really puzzled me.
I find it puzzling you'd talk about 'standard procedure' when we're approaching 3 months on some of these orders not being fulfilled.I think it's crazy you have to even say this. My order is actually big (around 20 items, wouldve been bigger but I forgot the 4K Violet Evergarden movie) AND I ordered the Promised Neverland CE. Sounds like I got hit with the double whammy.
I'm not in a rush with my order, I still have a backlog of a million series to go through
My order from the 11th, which was the mystery boxes and 4 other CEs, has been shipped today. DHL say they should deliver it tomorrow.
I have one final order that I'm still waiting to ship, but this is a new account so I don't have the option to DM yet.The issue here is basically that logistics are set up around certain expected parameters, in terms of parcel sizes, so when orders go way over that (as we saw a lot this Christmas), not only does that increase the pick and pack time for those orders, it also means either:

Reply to your order confirmation email or sent an email with the order number to shop.uk@alltheanime.com and that should get sorted for you.I seem to be missing an item from the clearance bundle. I am missingfrom the list in the front page of the thread.Burn the Witch
The order had the five mystery boxes and an additional 4 CEs. 5 items per box plus 4 extra would be 29 items but I only had 28 so it has not been replaced with something else.
The slip inside the box only lists the 28 items I received. The missing title is not on there nor is anything else that would bring it up to 29 items.
