The General Conversation Area

Back to the grind for another year. I worked over Christmas (bar Christmas day and boxing day) as I had a tonne of stuff to get through at work, but I had some days off after the new year and am now back to work properly today.

I have a hybrid working pattern between home and the offices, which is a nice balance. Last year, I reached another milestone for length of service at my workplace, which means I get an extra few days leave every year 😏

I also got a pay increase at the end of last year that will help with my home (more shelves maybe :eek:), and of course, my physical media collecting. It also helps that I have no partner or children to worry about.

Here's to another year of paying taxes and making rich people richer.
 
It's my birthday!! I am now 36, my friend C is here with me they've been staying for a few days and it's so lovely to enjoy their company, not got any presents on the actual day itself this year but that is ok, I was given some money by my mum in early December for Xmas and birthday - I'm still enjoying the anime I got then and my two rly fancy dresses will arrive soon-ish as I delayed shipment til I was back from my mum's, I'm having a really lovely birthday so far, am gonna go and buy another pritt stick soon and do some laundry and vacuuming with my friend 🥰👍

A query: when do teenage boys stop yelling at their mum about everything ever at 6:45am?
Just wondering as it is quite tiring to try and coordinate my brain to deal with hormone fluxes at that hour...
