Wow, that unearthed vague memories of something I had totally forgotten that I owned very many years ago. I had one of these, probably in the 1970s or 1980s. I have no idea what happened to it:
I didn't have the AC adapter but otherwise I believe it was exactly the same. I only initially remembered it was similar to yours and went looking for information to find it.
I think my initial memory came from this type, which I am fairly certain I also had sometime a bit later, which I got because it made it so much easier to look at a bunch of slides; no idea what happened to it either:
I'm pretty sure mine was a darker color like dark gray or black so probably a slightly different revision or model but it was generally the same as that one.
I ended up buying a bunch of Anime 35mm film strips (Mostly Shinkai) 6 or so years ago when I had an interest in cels and reproduction cels (like Evangelions Cellu-Club). Found them over the weekend and decided I should buy something to view them
Shame looking online now, what was once affordable (around £1 a strip)... is really not worth it now. Maybe if I had a 35mm projector it would be worth buying but an artbook would be cheaper and a far easier format to view lol
I have seen people selling slides super of holiday places (Blackpool/isle of white) cheap on ebay so I might buy some just to have a look at old film/slides
Also funny how tech doesn't really change over the years. Same idea 50~ years later but uses LED rather than bulb
I remember watching 16mm films my grandfather took of various events and remembering how finicky that old projector of his was. It was always chewing up sprocket holes in the film, needing a new projector bulb, etc.
