UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

My order numbers show almost exactly 700 difference from the start of the sale on Friday until now (thought I may as well get that komada title, even though it’s probably such a niche title it’ll be in clearance this Xmas). I’m going to guess that the vast majority were right at the start of the sale.

As there’s only really been the one “working day”, it’s probably a little early for me to start complaining about dispatch time,..
By first order is purportedly on its way, to be more reassuring than the Xmas sale was.
That’s something like 3 working days to despatch. Admittedly a small order (smaller event!), not much worse than comparable AoL shipping.

With 15% off, that’s about £64 for an empty milk bottle in a shoebox. Hmm. Might buy just for the hell of it.

We’re almost half way through the sale. Wonder if there’s anything being saved for the last day.

Small post-edit: Placed an order, and got a shipping notification just over an hour and a half later. Yet I’m still waiting on an earlier order.
Even outside of the Xmas sale, FIFO doesn’t work.

The email states £69.99
At Xmas s1 was £29.99, and s2 (EB) £39.99, so the flash sale is 1p more expensive.
You’re probably better off waiting for s2
Maybe it'll show up in the next sales. This summer or something like that. I see they've improved it and GITS is available in the store at a discounted price. No Perfect Blue, which will probably be available tomorrow? Generally, all the flash sales are too expensive for me, or I already have them. I could have bought that "whisky" movie xD

Hoping once the seemingly all hands on deck Akira release is over we might hear about Hathaway. Not blaming AL for this, Bandai Namco have some weird boner over seemingly only selling the film to America. Baffling after the work put in to make SEED Freedom and GQuuuuuuX Beginning very close 'global' releases.

Related- I checked and Akira is actually showing in Bedford.

An Anime Limited film is finally showing here! 57306.gif

I’m curious to see which subtitle track will be used for this re-release, as the screening that I saw many years ago (when manga entertainment still held the rights) used the dubtitles.

On the topic of Otomo, it would be cool to see more screenings for Memories, it would be insanely cool to see magnetic rose on the big screen. It’s a shame Robot Carnival and Neo Tokyo have never been licensed in the UK.
