UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

Are we at least actually getting it in hand in tandem with the US? Would be appreciated since I'd assume we're getting no other home media Gundam this year....
Release date will be after the US most likely simply due to production timelines for a Collector's Edition, but (all being well) we're aiming to make sure it isn't too long after).

Just to ask, was this a linked production with Crunchyroll or just a case of awkward timing?

And my snippiness aside, I do hope there might be other Gundam home media this year given it's the 10th anniversary of the partnership announcement.

No link, just how things worked out timing-wise. We certainly hope to have more Gundam coming people's way through the rest of the year.

By more Gundam will it be titles that haven't been released before? Because 0080: War in the Pocket would be a good one to restart that process since its only 6 episodes and a fan favourite.
It would be nice to see the ball rolling again on finishing up "the Gundam Collection". That branding is getting kind of embarrassing the longer it goes untouched.

I am curious to see what'll happen for us come the 50th anniversary given unlike the 40th they can't just Blu-ray a bunch of stuff beez got BBFC rated. But that's 3 years away and the world is so on fire right now I don't think any of us can guess what the state of play will be by then.

So there was a little media surprise in Hathaway 2 the owners are now treating as an open spoiler. A new official upload of it claims the film is going theatrical worldwide, starting in America and Thailand.

I'm mixed on supporting it given another detail we now know but as I said a few days ago I hope a UK release isn't delayed. AL need to get back to placing some actual priority on Gundam.

One of my orders from AL (3 items) was rather minimal just soft card and bubblewrap wrap-around. Took me by surprise, as used to be entirely small boxes (with air pillows).

They still do that, my final Xmas order was 11 standard Blu-rays, and it came in a box with bubble-wrap and air pillows.

I guess they only use those for larger orders. I've always gotten smaller orders from them in those book wrap mailers with bubble wrap, which is more than what most companies do nowadays!
