Aaaah! I totally died when I read your post - I'm desperately trying to obtain an inexpensive copy of Chaika the Coffin Princess Season 1 Collector's Edition because it wasn't in the actual sale, so I ended up only ordering the Season 2 CE. I would gladly buy it off you in a heartbeat, except unfortunately I live in the USA and I'm sure shipping from the UK to the US is even more expensive than the £25 AlltheAnime charge. 😢

Looking at Toho animation, they have their hand in quite a few Netflix shows like Little Witch Academia, Beastars, BNA, Dorohedoro and more though I'm sure to what capacity. A secondary studio maybe. Could this be a way for us to see these shows released in the UK?
Toho also has a working relationship with Discotek in the US so maybe its not unreasonable to hope that this will increase our chances of getting some of their releases over here.

Huh I thought you would get all the mystery boxes considering some of your previous comments.

No, I never buy the Collector Edition Mystery Boxes because I've usually already imported any CE sets in them that I would be interested in, and I can't easily sell off unwanted Region B CEs over here in the US - So the mystery boxes really aren't worth it for me. I only import UK Collector's Edition sets, and then only for series I like that don't have an equivalent chipboard box release in the US. And, I don't need to import any UK Standard releases because the Region A Standard versions are readily available over here.

Anyway, from that TV Mystery Box #1 the only other title I would be interested in other than Chaika S1 is To the Abandoned Sacred Beasts Collector's Edition, so if you weren't interested in keeping that one either, maybe it would be of interest to get with me in DM and see if we could arrange something beneficial to the both of us.

And, if not from you, maybe someone else here would be able to help me out. For someone who got both TV Mystery Boxes, from set #2 I'd possibly consider Shirobako CE or Rental x Magica CE that could be thrown into the mix. I would cover all the shipping cost to the US of course, if we can figure out what it would be.

Ya'll need to be patient and thankful. Without ATA a lot of you wouldn't even be able to collect physical media at affordable prices.
I feel like I can be both thankful for the awesomeness that ATA brings us and be miffed about not being able to buy Christmas presents with them, because my order will arrive two months later, and not seeing improvement though the years. One does not exclude the other. Though I do get your point! So here is a bit of my thankfulness: I love the variety of whats on offer at ATA, both old and new, well known and more obscure. The amount of movies make me happy too! And a lot of the collectors editions are beautiful. And the Christmas sale makes it affordable even for me on the continent.

The 5th is upon us.

Fifth of Scotch? Bourbon? Tequila? Bring it!

Maybe AL should run their 12 days of Christmas sale in October instead of December, so they have plenty of time to fulfill their orders before Christmas. I actually spent 3 times as much on anime Blu-rays in October as compared to November or December this year - Although my order of five CE titles from AL I made on 16/10 is still waiting to ship because of the delay of the Diebuster CE.

You talk like they aren't comprised of humans and shouldn't be given grace, especially during stressful seasons like the holidays. Hanners is quite active to keep people informed. It was revealed that the company went through a hard time before the sale with multiple individuals falling ill thus interrupting services. If you aren't able to extend goodwill in such a situation then I'd argue you're a soulless.

Do you mean you think I'm not able to extend goodwill?
