Doctor Who Discussion

I've watched The Happiness Patrol.
I don't think I caught much of the political content that it's claimed to have. Maybe the 10 minutes cut from each episode would have helped.
It was short, silly and enjoyable. I like these 3 parters.

The viewing figures were 5.5 million.
Strictly come dancing gets similar and keeps getting renewed. 😡

Can't say I remember much of Patrick Troughton. I've probably heard more audiobooks than TV episodes of his.
I do remember a couple of lines that he delivers well.

I don't like it.

I read it in the Times.
It's not in the paper's yet.
Tomorrow's Times!

Or something like that.

Received Matt Smith's series 7 today.
As usual, I was going to buy from HMV but I noticed the DVD from Amazon was £5.86 instead of £9.99 so went with that.

It's got a lot of extras. I wanted it mainly for the Crimson Horror. I hadn't realised it was so long ago.
Now where are my scissor grenades!

I don’t think I own any of the New era on BD except the US Tennant set which was very cheap. Maybe one day I’ll revisit the Smith and Capaldi eras but am admittedly in no rush to.

That's almost the same for me.
The price sucked me in.

My only other new Doctor Who is the season with Blink. Charity shop £1.

Just listened to the audiobook of Terrance Dicks novelisation of
The Talons of Weng-Chiang.
Great choice of Christopher Benjamin to read.

And good fun it was.
It's a shame that out of 600 Chinese males in London in 1880, The Doctor had to find the bad ones. Although they maybe should have been Triads rather than Tongs.
I wonder if Professor Litefoot knew Conan Doyle and told him of his adventures. Would there be a Sherlock Holmes without our time traveller?🥴⛄
