I thought people were saying that other than the first season, Shield Hero wasn't a very good series? Surprised to see it get to a 5th season. I've only seen the first season myself, and did like that - I do actually have the first three season's LE box sets but I haven't bothered to watch beyond the first season yet because no one seemed to care for those seasons very much.

I think comments I've seen hated Season 2 but thought Season 3 improved. I don't know; I don't pay too much attention given my tastes are generally opposite of what's popular. The most popular anime seems to be battle shounen which bores me to tears. I generally know what I will like and don't make too many mistakes buying things. I don't do streaming so most things are blind buys for me.

I haven't gotten around to watching past Season 1 either though. I have standard editions of Season 1 and 2 and still have to get Season 3.
 
I watched season 1, thought it started out well but wasn't liking it as much by the end.
The MC makes this annoying clicking sound and his acceptance of how the heroes treat him got to me.
I still bought S2 but asked myself why so decided not to continue after finishing it (same with MushokuTensei except I only got through S1).

It's great for all who are enjoying it though.
 
Generally speaking, Season 2 of Shield Hero felt rushed and overall not as good as the first season. It did improve again for 3 onwards tho and clearly it must still be pulling in the numbers for Crunchyroll etc (they were the ones to commission season 2 and 3 together at the time).

English dub? I don't watch dubs, but I never noticed anything like that in the Japanese.

Mushoku Tensei I couldn't make it through two episodes of; another example of what's popular not working for me. Too many things in that one that are offensive to me, and the MC couldn't possibly be any more unlikable.

Not the English dub.
I imagine it didn't bother you.
I probably would have been better describing it as tsk.

I was on Netflix last night and noticed they have 14 episodes of Detective Conan. They are the first 2 episodes (great opening song) then some from S5 and S11.

I also watched in Japanese and don't remember anything like that - tsk tsk Otomo! ;)

I have so much of Mushoku Tensei to catch up on, I haven't quite finished Season 1 yet. I think the stuff that bothered you is mostly in the first half of the first Season, it is much less prominent after that, I believe. I'm not bothered by "offensive" stuff, so I've been enjoying the series so far.

Yeah, TMS are putting up "curated" episodes to Netflix and CR with a new English dub under the Detective Conan title rather than Case Closed. There have been 2 batches of episodes released so far.

I'm usually easy going.
I've got the USA version of My Girlfriend is Shobitch and glad of it.
I watched all of Redo of Healer and thought much of it distasteful. The MC was driven by hatred and revenge. Of course my version would have lasted 2 episodes after I killed everyone!

The World's Greatest Assassin is more likeable and the guy from the Greatest Exorcist even though he fed people to his monsters.
Sam Peckinpah did teach me one thing, a final good deed can redeem a bad man.
So if it gets cheap enough, I'll probably continue and hope.

Oh wow, The World's Greatest Assassin - I'm so pissed that series never got released on Blu-ray, I wanted it so badly. It says online that a second Season was announced in Sept 2023 but as of yet no word on any release date. My Crunchyroll User icon on their streaming site is actually Maha from that series:
