Loved that show.
No spoilers but one of the episodes is a big favourite.
I wasn't crying at the end, honest.
We asked 100 people to name a bodily fluid you would lose on account of Super Sonico. You said “Tears” our survey said… It’s on the board, but it’s not the top answer.

I really must be losing it, I’m sure I have a distinct memory of buying SoniAni in a sale and these posts reminded me to watch it but I can’t find it anywhere.

Honestly she's just so gosh darn cute and sweet-natured I love her 😭 ❤️

Now at the start of ep 9, and taking a short break to rewatch a couple of Batman animated flicks that I just bought on Blu-ray :)

What did you think of episode 7, Star Rain?
That's my favourite.

Yes, it was tears.

Episodes tend to bleed into each other for me a bit but I loved seeing how excited she was about the little glass ornament she made. I have a raccoon puppet that I'm rly sentimental about cuz this rly cute lil kid visited when I was younger with their mum and I kept them entertained with the puppet and I was just thinking about that the other day... is that actually a raccoon in Star Rain like it says in the ep synopsis on Wikipedia or was it a tanuki? I'm also now thinking about the end of a certain v emotional episode of The Simpsons w Homer looking up at the night sky (as I recall he is lying on his back on the family car) 😭 ❤️ 🥰

I 100% believe you that it was tears, I think @ayase does too in spite of his crude (and prob statistically accurate tbf) joke! The thought of Duke Togo shedding manly tears watching a cute anime about a college student model w big dreams is... IDK what it is, something along the lines of gently humorous and endearing. I cry at anime all the time haha XD

The Great Tale of the Great Tatami Progenitor (1980)-Directed by Chûsei Sone and Leiji Matsumoto.
A fun little comedy movie based on a manga by Leiji Matsumoto who also co-directs the movie along side Chûsei Sone.
The movie follows main character Adachi as he moves into a boarding house occupied with eccentric whacky characters, kind of like Maison Ikkoku without the romance, not the funniest movie ever made but still highly entertaining.

Re:ZERO - Starting Life in Another World - Season 3 episode 58 Divine protection.

Sengoku Youko 2nd Season episode 30 Observation.

The Prince of Tennis: U-17 World Cup Semifinal episode 8 Perfection.

Aura Battler Dunbine episodes 43-49 & OVAs (Complete. Though not the strongest of watches, ABD’s blend of fantasy and mecha was fairly entertaining and was worth the cheap Sentai sale price.) 3/5, 3/5

A Wind Named Amnesia (Film)
An intriguing post-apocalyptic story that would have made for a great tv series but as is makes for a film well-worth checking out. 4/5

Barefoot Gen (Film)
, Barefoot Gen 2 (Film) While I had issues with the first film in places the sequel was a more effective presentation overall. 3/5, 3.5/5

A Class to Remember (1993)-Directed by-Yôji Yamada
A Class to Remember 2 (1996)-Directed by-Yôji Yamada
A Class to Remember 3-The New Voyage (1998)-Directed by-Yôji Yamada
A Class to Remember 4-Fifteen (2000)-Directed by-Yôji Yamada

Yôji Yamada's classic slice of life A Class to Remember movies truly are inspiring, uplifting and emotional masterpieces. The theme for each movie centers around society,s underdogs the forgotten and misunderstood. The first movie revolves around people from different backgrounds and ages attending a night class to improve and better themselves each with there own baggage and personal circumstances to deal with. The second movie is about the highs and lows of the teachers and students of the Ryubetsu Handicapped High School. The third and my personal fave is about a widow with an autistic son who loses her job and starts attending college to gain new qualifications to provide a better future for her and her son.The fourth movie is a humble story about a 15 year old board high school student who embarks on a pilgrimage to visit the 7,000-year-old cedar tree on distant Yakushima Island. All four movies truly are essential viewing and will leave you with a warm fuzzy feeling in you tummy.

Lightspeed Electroid Albegas - Episodes 42 - 45 [Final]

The last few episodes of Albegas picked up a bit and it came to decent if rushed ending, as a whole it was an average series.

Dorima-chan: Hello, Dinosaur Kids!

Another entertaining Dorima-chan film, charming with that oh so Japanese edge to it.

Thunderbolt Fantasy: Sword Seekers 4 - Episodes 6 & 7

Ranma 1/2 (2024) - Episodes 5 - 7

I am quite liking this so far.

Den-noh Coil COMPLETE (REWATCH, English dubbed)

I have read so much good stuff about Den-noh Coil, I have it on blu-ray and must get round to it soon.

Gundam Unicorn OVA Episodes 1-7 COMPLETE (English dubbed)

It wasn't perfect but there was a lot I liked about Gundam Unicorn and is another OVA I need to re-watch.

Aura Battler Dunbine episodes 43-49 & OVAs (Complete. Though not the strongest of watches, ABD’s blend of fantasy and mecha was fairly entertaining and was worth the cheap Sentai sale price.) 3/5, 3/5

I've seen Dunbine a couple of times, some great ideas and cool looking mecha and generally I quite like it but it really does lose its way through the second half of the series, I did like the final episode though, very Tomino! I picked up the blu-ray for $25 on Amazon a couple of years ago. With L-Gaim finally getting a HD release and a Galient BD on the shelf, I feel a 80's Sunrise mecha re-watchathon coming on next year.

I agree about AWNA, it's a film I enjoy watching and had it on VHS 30 years ago and it has held up really well on recent re-watches.

By the Grace of the Gods S1
Episodes 5-12.
Well, it was nice.
A couple of wee fights would have been good.
The comedy from Hughes, the bodyguard was funny.
Minor fanservice from two Beastkin adventurers. A wolf and tiger, I think.
For the first time in ages, I let the ending song play out. Catchy tune.
Can't decide whether to bother with S2.
