Been playing catchup today.

Death Parade ep3. I have absolutely no idea who was sent for reincarnation and who went into the abyss as I couldn't tell which lift was which. I also don't know why one of them was condemned at all as I didn't really see anything particularly wrong with either of them (or at least nothing that justified eternity in the abyss imo).

I thought both of them were sent up for reincarnation? That's the impression I got anyhows
That would make sense, I was just assuming that each lift was for a specific destination (one goes up, the other down).

I assumed the same at first, but it wouldn't make sense (as you wrote too) for one to be sent to the void as neither were bad eggs but I could be wrong. I do get the sense nothings as simple as it seems in Death Parade....

If both were definitely sent for reincarnation, we'll have a fun episode ahead of two characters going to the void :D

Aldnoah Zero s2,ep3

I hope people give this show a bit of credit - I kind of feel like it's in danger of being seen poorly now because of what it did with its first season. Yes, there are so many faults with the show, but when it gets it right, it really gets it right. And I feel like this episode got a lot more right then it did wrong. Plus, the soundtrack is still incredible.

Yes. That soundtrack. This coming from the person who went and bought the OST, the opening and ending CD's.

I haven't got round to watching this season yet. I'm waiting until I get my Crunchyroll account sorted so I can watch it without annoying ads! I can't wait to see what it does, even though I have a feeling I might be annoyed. Then again, I feel like one of the rare people who still liked Slaine even after that ending.

Slaine is a far more engaging character than the main character (I can't even remember his name, that's how rubbish he is) - I won't spoil it, but there's a thing that Slaine does in ep3 of season two that makes you see him in a totally new light.

I hope it's not a bad light

Tsubasa S1 eps 10-16

Slowly getting through this, finding it ok so far nothing great though. Only eps that i've really liked are the ones where they gained kudan powers but the rest so far are just ok.

This show does have potential so i was wondering if Season 2 is any better and worth getting?

Episodes 17-26 (basically the final arc of the first season) are much, much better - the tone gets much darker/more melancholic and while I still think the show suffers from some very poor production values, these episodes have some real standout moments and a greatly improved tone.

If you like reading manga, that really is the best way to experience Tsubasa. Partway through Season 2, the plot departs from the manga completely. The OVA's are fantastic, but they do not follow on directly from the anime.

If you decide to watch Season 2 and want to watch the OVA's later, then when the group leave the library is the moment the plot diverges and you would move onto the Tokyo Revelations OVA's. A few crucial arcs have not been animated between this and the Spring Thunder Chronicle (Shunraiki) OVA's. I would suggest perhaps reading a summary of those missing arcs, because it will most likely be confusing otherwise.

Hope this helps!

Cheers you two that does help, i'm upto ep 22 on it now and i have found it's finally gotten better in this last arc of the season. I don't really read much manga tbh (don't have the space for them) but i might eventually pick them up to finish the story.

Also, you may have already watched it, and it's sort of stating the obvious - but if you can track down the DVDs at all, it really is worth watching Cardcaptor Sakura, as it will make you see both Tsubasa and Sakura's character in particular in a whole new light (and obviously watch xxxHolic too).

Your Lie In April ep1-2. I chose this to replace Durarara this season, even though I'm 14 episodes behind. So far it's very impressive, it's clearly going to be a very emotional journey.

I used to watch Cardcaptors when it was on TV years ago but looks like it was edited a lot, can't really remember much of it so i'd like to pick up the DVDs just a shame they're quite expensive. Yeah i'm planning on getting xxxHolic, the SAVE set is quite cheap so i'll go for that one, shame the second season hasn't been licensed though :(
