Accel World Episode 1.

Was pretty disappointed by it. Didn't seem anything special.
I was a fan of the first half of Sword Art Online but this show seems to be falling into many troupe's that bore me. With the ending it feels like a cliffhanger to start a "battle of the week" show.

Can anyone tell me if that's the case before I carry on with it.

I enjoy the episodic nature of shows like Tiger and Bunny but this show seems to be tied around a loser guy getting into epic battles where he will be saved by a pretty girl.
 
Personally i loved Accel World. But a lot of people don't, probably because they hate Haru. I'd reccomend getting to the end of the first arc to see if it grows on you

Edit: its not really monster of the week either its more arc based

It's not a "Battle of the Week" show, neither does it revolve around Haru constantly being saved by Kuroyukihime.

What is it about Kuroyukihime you don't like? I actually really liked her character.

Hard to explain. Feel like I've seen her type in loads of shows. Mysterious and "so cool" popular girl in school. Speaks very monotonous and cryptic for no reason.

I'm on a trial spree of 15 shows to see what ones I enjoy and will purchase. Having been out of the fandom for well over a year I'm playing catch up.
I'll more than likely try another episode.

Also watched:
High School DxD 01. Not for me, seems a good show but not a fan of booby shows. Dropped
Blue Exorcist 01. I like the characters and the setting. Giving it another episode before committing to purchase.
Another 01. Intriguing... Will try episode 2. Worried this will fall apart like Shiki.
 
Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero Episode 1.
So this show is about them being in a Battle School?
I really liked the beginning in the other world and thought it would be interesting to see how they integrate into the lead characters world. Neither of those seem that important from where the episodes focus was.
I shall give it one more episode but if that's what it becomes
 
Haganai NEXT (English Dub) - Episode 7-9

I saw a Gwlpt reference and I think that was a Kids on the Slope reference as well (Episode 9).
